About
Cubetory is a factory-building game with a pure automation focus. Place mining drills, conveyor belts, launchers, stampers, power stations, and tons of other machines as you build your factory.
Space is limited, and resource patches are unique. Each new paint/ore patch you encounter will have to be used efficiently to meet the production requirements to unlock the next upgrades. As you progress, you'll grow your island, unlock new technologies, and uncover new resources.
With no enemies or time limits, you'll have all the time you need to figure it out.
Progression is tied to your rate of production. Combined with limited resources and not much space, it means that you'll have to figure out dense, efficient factory layouts to produce enough cubes to hit your production targets. Each production target you achieve will be part of future targets as well, meaning that your factory will have to become more and more efficient as you progress.
Everything you produce in Cubetory is a cube, and all cubes end up in the PIT. Early game, that means mining cubes and painting them a specific pattern. Complexity quickly ramps up from there with assembly chains, byproducts, non-deterministic processes, and more.

TLDR; this game is fun, recommended :D Cubetory starts with a tiny island where you need to mine cubes, paint them, and send them to the mysterious pit. Upgrades are basically a series of increasingly complex spacial puzzles requiring automation and involving different cube types and patterns affected by how you manipulate your cubes and lay out your machines. A few factors make this game very satisfying to play. All the little cubes move in sync but not only that, they move in sync with the original background music. I like that whenever I click a new upgrade it's because I've accomplished a goal, and that it sometimes leads to my island becoming bigger. As you continue playing, it gets satisfying to rearrange your island so that sections become symmetrical. A nicely laid out island generally leads to higher throughout, which we need anyway :3 If you like organizing and efficiency, the game is very addicting and very fun!
Really liking it so far! Feels like a factory game mixed with a puzzle game and I'm a fan of both genres and it's been interesting to see how the dev mixed those two together. You try to scale a factory but you're also constrained in space, so you have to figure out how to scale the factory despite that. Unlike other factory where you stockpile resources, in cubetory you only progress in tech by your throughput, so you can't cheat your way to progress by waiting to acccumulate resources slowly. I found it to be a refreshing take on factory games.
Extremely good automation game. What if Shapez gave you difficult and complicated challenges the entire time? That's this game
Cubetory is at the same time very chill and quite challenging, a hard balance to hit. This puzzle factory game doesn't challenge you by making you race a clock or defend your factory from enemies but rather by forcing you to come up with a space efficient and performant design. Having played the demo on it's initial release I can see and feel the amount of blood, sweat and tears that were poured into the game since then. If what I described sounds interesting to you, give the game a shot! Recommended
Cubetory is an automation game that hits the sweet spot between challenge and fun for me. Challenging enough to deliver the dopamine when I succeed at a task, fun enough that the dopamine hits don't feel too far apart from each other. I have a couple dozen hours on the demo and I recently bought the early access version because I want more. I like that machines and belts don't cost anything and there are no enemies so that my time is spent on designing beautiful solutions to highly constrained problems. The main enemy in Cubetory is space. You'll have to rethink your solutions over a few times whenever you run out of space. But, not to worry, the game progression gives you the tools you need to deal with these problems as they arise. All in all this is an impressive work made by a solo dev. It's easy to get into, and hard to get out of.
Really enjoyed playing but unfortunately the game crashed and then I was unable to open my autosaves so cannot continue playing.
Probably one of the coziest factory games out there, which you will need cuz if you're as dumb as I am it'll take you hours to figure ♥♥♥♥ out XD I love watching the cubes move to the music(which is a banger soundtrack btw) Can't wait to beat the game finally on my death bed \o/
Very nice game, with much deeper gameplay than Shapez 1 and 2 in my opinion.
simply, the decision to limit the map size from the usual infinite maps fundamentally changes how you tackle the challenge of automation, instead of just sprawling out you're forced to make more efficient factorys and that makes the upgrades feel more substantial cause space reduction tiles like loaders are more substantial than in say shapes io.
This game is incredibly satisfying as you fine-tune every step for maximum efficiency. Guide cubes to colour-shifting geysers, unlock new patterns by optimizing their flow into the mysterious pit, and enjoy the rhythmic motion synced perfectly with the soundtrack. I can't wait to dive back in tomorrow!
