The first 3 chapters were genuinely fun: atmospheric, mysterious, narratively intriguing. The puzzles were thematic and intertwined well with what went on in the chapter's story. But chapter 4-6 seemed way too heavy on puzzles for the sake of puzzles. As a person who despises too obvious and formulaic puzzles within games, I was immediately thrown off by them. The further I went through the chapters, the more I needed to rely on walkthroughs, which I didn't think was a fun experience. But The case 23 chapter and the need to literally just play 15 puzzle which was not tied to the story and anything that was going on, was the final nail in the coffin. I decided to drop the series, which is a shame since the story was intriguing and art style of the games, despite its simplicity, was quite unique.
Every Rusty Lake game is worth the time and money to experience. I wish I could experience them for the first time again - so whimsical, wonderful, creepy and unique.

One of my favorite things about the Rusty Lake room escape games is the overarching story that connects every title. The more games you play, the more pieces of the bigger mystery fall into place, making the series incredibly rewarding to experience from start to finish. Each game has its own unique setting, puzzles, and atmosphere, so they never feel repetitive. They're consistently captivating, with just the right balance of challenging puzzles and intriguing storytelling. If you enjoy escape rooms and narrative-driven games, this series is absolutely worth playing.

Estou jogando todos os jogos na ordem recomendada pelos devs, é uma franquia muito boa pra quem quer mergulhar em 19 (tá vindo o 20°) jogos de puzzles simples e numa lore enorme que intriga bastante. Também são ótimos jogos pra jogar junto com alguém, já que ambos podem contribuir nas descobertas, e também pra jogar enquanto anota num caderninho ou mesmo num documento (é o que eu e minha namorada estamos fazendo)!! Ainda estamos longe de terminar todos os jogos então logo venho escrever mais. Henüz bu oyunlar Itch.io'ya ücretsiz bir şekilde yüklenirken oynamıştım ilk. Keşfedince direkt bağımlısı olmuştum. 2 oyunu çıkmıştı ekibin o zamanlar sonra sırayla gelmelerini bekliyordum takip de ediyordum her yerden. Steam'e geldiğinden beri koleksiyonunu yapıp ekibe de destek olmak istemiştim anca olabildim :D Harika bir seri, kendine has orijinal bir tarz, zengin bir hikaye ve mükemmel karakter dizaynları var bir de şimdi steam üzerinden achievement kısmını eklemişler çıldırırsın. I LOVE the Rusty Lake series! This game is a great entry point to an amazingly rich storyline with so much depth! If you have the time, and love story-rich puzzle games, this game is for you! I cannot recommend enough ALL of the games made by this developer! The entire storyline of Rusty Lake is enthralling and so, so interesting. It's so much fun putting all the pieces together as you figure out what's going on. Because the memories are not only the key to the past, but also to the future. The past is never dead, it is not even past.
