For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Cthulhu Mythos ADV: Lunatic Whispers is a niche horror adventure that confidently embraces its inspirations from Lovecraftian fiction and tabletop role-playing games. Developed and published by Gotcha Gotcha Games, the title places players in an abandoned hospital where reality feels increasingly unstable. Awakening without a clear understanding of the circumstances, players are tasked with uncovering the truth while navigating a world filled with inexplicable phenomena, cryptic encounters, and the looming threat of madness. Rather than delivering conventional jump scares, the game leans heavily into psychological tension and the fear of the unknown, creating an experience that feels closer to participating in a pen-and-paper horror campaign than playing a traditional visual novel. One of the game's defining elements is its use of randomized character attributes and dice-based outcomes. Every playthrough begins with different strengths and weaknesses, affecting how players approach situations and whether they can successfully overcome certain obstacles. This mechanic introduces an element of unpredictability that complements the Cthulhu Mythos setting remarkably well. Players may find themselves succeeding in one scenario only to fail in another during a subsequent run, reinforcing the idea that fate is often beyond human control. The inclusion of tabletop-inspired systems gives Lunatic Whispers a distinctive identity among visual novels, even if it occasionally tests the player's patience when luck refuses to cooperate. Exploration is central to the experience, with the hospital serving as both a narrative device and an unsettling backdrop. The environment is filled with clues, hidden details, and moments that gradually reveal the larger mystery. The pacing is intentionally measured, allowing players to absorb the atmosphere and piece together fragments of information at their own pace. While those expecting fast-paced horror may find the progression slow, the deliberate structure suits the game's themes. Every locked door, unsettling discovery, and strange conversation contributes to an overarching sense of unease that remains present throughout the adventure. The sanity system is perhaps the title's most effective gameplay mechanic. As players encounter disturbing events, their mental state can deteriorate, influencing both story developments and the information available to them. Maintaining sanity becomes a balancing act, as losing one's grip on reality can lead to unusual behaviors and altered perceptions. Interestingly, the game rewards players who carefully manage their mental condition by granting access to hidden insights and alternative perspectives. This feature not only strengthens the horror elements but also encourages repeated playthroughs to uncover everything the narrative has to offer. Replay value is another notable strength. With seven endings, branching paths, and randomized elements woven into the experience, Lunatic Whispers provides ample incentive to revisit its story. Companions encountered during the journey possess their own abilities that can influence critical moments, adding another layer of strategy to player decisions. Although some narrative beats rely on familiar Lovecraftian concepts, the game's commitment to integrating those ideas into its mechanics prevents the experience from feeling derivative. Each ending sheds light on different aspects of the mystery, making completionists particularly likely to appreciate the game's design. From a presentation standpoint, the visuals are modest but fitting. Character artwork and environments effectively establish the eerie tone without relying on excessive detail, while the soundtrack and ambient effects do much of the heavy lifting when it comes to immersion. The audio design consistently reinforces the oppressive atmosphere, helping transform otherwise simple scenes into memorable moments. Mature content is limited primarily to depictions of violence and unsettling imagery, ensuring that the emphasis remains on suspense and cosmic horror rather than gratuitous shock value. Despite its strengths, Lunatic Whispers is not without flaws. The heavy reliance on random outcomes can occasionally create frustration, especially when important decisions are determined by unfortunate dice rolls. Additionally, players unfamiliar with visual novels or text-driven adventures may struggle with the game's slower pace and extensive reading. Some repeated playthroughs also reveal limitations in dialogue variation, making certain sections less impactful after multiple attempts. Even with these shortcomings, Cthulhu Mythos ADV: Lunatic Whispers succeeds as a thoughtful blend of visual novel storytelling and tabletop-inspired gameplay. It captures the essence of Lovecraftian horror through its emphasis on uncertainty, madness, and forces beyond human comprehension. While its niche appeal and reliance on chance may not resonate with everyone, fans of cosmic horror and narrative-driven adventures will find a compelling mystery worth unraveling. Rating: 7/10

its a fun game, not a long game unless you want to get all the endings though, overall really liked the characters and the art style
