If it weren't for the YouTube channel, LGR, I wouldn't have even given Crystal Caves a chance! And it really is a cool game, it's very similar to Commander Keen in many ways! I'll say again what I said in the Hocus Pocus review: Crystal Caves is more for those who enjoy MS DOS games and are old school fans! You can buy it and play it!

like most of these old dosbox games I get such bad screen-tearing that playing for more than 30 seconds makes me nauseous, and this game's cyclopean stone backdrop did not help at all. probably a way to fix it but I don't really care enough to

Love love love! Exactly how i remember it from childhood. Still perfect!
90 ların atari oyunlarına ilginiz varsa deneyimleyebilirsiniz nostalji yapmak için alınır yoksa oynanmaz
It's honestly mostly the nostalgia for me. I grew up with the shareware installment of this delightful little pixel side-scroller but I could never convince my parents to buy me the purchased installments, so when I found out this was available on steam during a trip down memory lane with a friend, I immediately bought it and it's been exactly what I wanted: the game I remember, as well as the sequels I never got to see because kids don't have credit cards. It's hard for me to step outside of having played the game before to give it an unbiased review, but I think that it'll hold up okay. The game is predicated on a simple enough concept: collect all the gems in the level to advance. Additional things like randomly spawning fruits and killing bad guys will add to your score, as is fairly standard, and there's even an additional bonus for clearing levels without taking any damage. If side scrollers scratch that nostalgia itch, then Crystal Caves is worth your consideration.
This is just a great nostalgia game for me that reminds me of playing computer games with my dad in the 90s. I just love it. It's simple and fun.

Amazing! The original rage quit game. This game is literally my childhood. Everyone needs to give this game at least a few tries.
