Crysis 2 - Maximum Edition

2 minute TLDR: Crysis 2 continues the story from where 1 left off, but now you play as Prophet. Deliciously slick gunplay, great graphics and more streamlined mechanics to toy with, culminating in some truly epic gunfights to remember. While the story is still action focused, it's there, doing it's thing. Absolutely worth grabbing for a weekend of fun.

As in the first game, the sounds and graphics are VERY good (at least to me). Although the true open map feel of the original is gone, the game was still enjoyable to me. Enjoyable enough for me to beat it on all difficulties. Although, for me it was incredibly hard to beat the hardest by being anything other than as stealthy as possible. The standard suit from the original is gone, this suit in 2 comes with upgrade-able abilities that have a wide range of play altering effects. The effects can be like absorbing more damage in armor mode than normal or staying in stealth longer while walking quieter. Weapons come in a wide variety of modable firearms and some energy weapons (mostly aliens ones), along with some varying explosive types. There is melee combat (although it is suicidal 99% of the time) and stealthkills. You will battle a wide range of enemies, ranging from most infantry types to large vehicles, including flying ones. Most enemies are in "squads" that do react well when their members are killed in front of them, with exception to a few times when they would just be picked off 1 by 1 as they ran out to help a member as I sniped them. These aliens are not the same kinds as the ones in the original, there is an explanation for this but I find it insufficient - the change is very drastic. The plot was enjoyable for me except a part the last 4 words of dialogue that most people don't seem to care about and not something I will spoil here. You do have to use Origin to play, EA's inferior platform to Valve's Steam.

Que dire de Crysis 2: - Tout d'abords le jeux est juste magnifique et le gameplay assez sympa. - La bande son vous plonge dans l’environnement et colle bien au jeux. - Malheureusement le jeux n'a rien à voir avec le premiers opus "Crysis 1", on ne joue plus sur un open World mais bien sur un FPS de base type jeux de couloir sans trop de liberté de mouvement ou de déplacement. - La nano combinaison est toujours la mais elle rend le jeux limite trop facile même en mode hard-core. il vous suffira de vous camoufler pour voir votre vie remontée doucement. Ce qui nous rend quasiment invulnérable (godmod). - Comptez tout au plus une 30 aines d'heures de jeux pour plier la campagne et quand je dit 30 je suis large. - L'I.A reste plus ou moins bonne, l'histoire ne fait que se contredire et le jeu se déroule uniquement dans un décors urbain. Je vous conseil de vous procurer le jeux en promotion afin de ne pas regretter votre investissement. Bon jeux à tous.

Instead of playing as an extraterrestrial with a hovering attack aircraft and cool red laser beam weapons, you get to play as generic soldier guy in tight leather clothes with an aluminium jockstrap and the same weapons as every other FPS game made after 2004. Worse is that the suit establishes a cybernetic connection with your character's brain whereby you inherit the previous owner's memories, who, right before he died, visited all the gay bars of Manhattan (including the ones that Jewish gangsters visit on Friday night, where they collectively practice the ancient Jewish ritual of kissing their fathers' ass) whilst wearing it. He also used the suit at an Agnostic Front show in Brooklyn, a notorious gay band from New York who pose as agnostics but secretly they're devout christians, and they as well as the entire crowd (consisting of 17 vegans, the average number of visitors at an AF show) performed circle-bukkake on the suit. Then he hands it over to you the next day right before killing himself out of shame. Also, because he killed himself before the alien invasion instead of fighting them, he was posthumously knighted in the Order of Orange Nassau. The game also runs worse on 2023 hardware than it did on 2008 hardware.
