Great game if you have money for DLCs because most of the game is locked behind them!

the moment I start a campaign I feel like a god hovering over a bunch of tiny people in a miniverse who attempt social climbing at an expense of their own values and dignity, only for me to kill their bloodline because I wanted better tax income. im pulling Genghis khan strategies, marrying off my daughters to secure allies and sending their husbands to war until they suspiciously die. using inheritance, claims and some chaos to absorb more land into my empire, thinking that every neighbouring kingdom looked more like a future province than a sovereign nation. I was convincing myself that every betrayal was for "stability" and development of my empire, because I thought "what leader doesn't sacrifice people attempting to speak the truth?" (e.g. trump) so I mixed some modernism in there. at some point I was so sleep deprived I didn't know if I genuinely had an unhealthy obsession with world domination or if I was just a little kinky. I feel like a money hungry jew when I see land on the map I haven't claimed. Scary how this game turns me into a make a wish dictator for peasant children who feed into the concept of the cycle of civilization. 9/10 game, makes me dream too big...cant happen again after that Austrian painter.
Paradox is far too greedy for me to recommend any of their games.
It is a great game. I enjoyed playing it a lot even without DLC. The idea is fun and its execution is done quite well. One of my favourite paradox games of all time. The fact that it's free now is the cherry on top.
