A retro-inspired 2D Action RPG set in the distant future. CrossCode combines 16-bit SNES-style graphics with butter-smooth physics, a fast-paced combat system, and engaging puzzle mechanics, served with a gripping sci-fi story.

I love the HECK out of this game. The puzzles can be tricky sometimes, but it feels so satisfying trying to figure them out. The combat is absolutely STELLAR! It is so satisfying to get into a flow and wipe the whole map once you get the hang of it.
ABSOLUTE JOGÃO. Uma verdadeira obra-prima.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, it really is. But ONLY if you have lightning-quick reflexes that can handle the split-second timing and pixel-perfect parkour. I rage quit in the first dungeon because I couldn't manage the puzzles to open up the paths. I'll even give it 10/10 for as much as I was able to play because it really is good, everything is good, the graphics, the music, the level design, the story (what I saw of it), and the gameplay. Very unique combat system, wouldn't mind seeing other games make use of it. It's just that I'm not good enough to play it.

Fun game I have enjoyed it.
I take back what I said. Skill issue Dayo.

I wish I could attach a screenshot here. Demo was working fine, but the main game has issue with resolution. I am not able to play it in 1920x1080 resolution, no matter what. I edit the package.json and put my resolution with fullscreen enabled. Earlier it was launching in some weird resolution where on top-left corner with some part of the screen visible (bottom-left). Editing the file fixed the issue but I am not able to make it fullscreen. Refunding.
Certainly a game of all times. Pixel-art and art direction are just top notch, music is immersive and gameplay is... Actually pretty fun mixing twin-stick shooter and hack and slash with a party system :D God! I wish other RPG's took risks like this and were more experimental, not always ends up well, sometimes leads to feature creep but in this case it is a sight to behold, très bien out of 10! Puzzles could be spaced out a little bit more... just saying... not enough combat... at times the game completely forgets its an RPG and becomes a puzzle solving mobile-game... The overworld is puzzle solving, dungeons are puzzle solving, quests after some time all involve puzzle solving and by the end you wonder WHY? and just uninstall. The more complex puzzle that require 3 to 5 minutes to solve should give EXP and CP points instead of X3 random material... Like what a mood to get nothing for your time... ------Some time after------ I came back and finished it... It took 112hs, offline and with my potato barely keeping up with the game's (lack of optimization) greatness. Updating NW.js manually helps, mods help, lowering the difficulty through accessibility for "faster" pacing helps... But, hear me out here... What actually helps is the second half of the game + DLC being better BY A LONG MILE than the initial "sluggish, boring, monotonous, insufferable lack of narrative or fun gameplay first half (I'm excluding the prologue because is awesome)" Just b-line as fast as you can to chapter 6 and let every quest and every chest for later, get those first two dungeons out of the way as fast as you can, don't grind early, don't gear up early, it's all POINTLESS. Then enjoy the rest of this "flawed masterpiece" because I have no better term for it, I love it but I wish the first half would just go down in flames. Lea, meet, bye!
