A retro-inspired 2D Action RPG set in the distant future. CrossCode combines 16-bit SNES-style graphics with butter-smooth physics, a fast-paced combat system, and engaging puzzle mechanics, served with a gripping sci-fi story.

5 dollars for a gem
It's great. The puzzles got a little tedious for me but that's more of a skill issue than a fault of the game.
After a fifteen minute tutorial that taught me nothing that I could not have just read in 20 seconds (attack, shoot, dodge), the game had the gall to demand I "break every box in the room" to proceed. I'm trying to leave less negative reviews for games that probably just aren't for me, so I'm gonna give this a thumbs up while putting a warning in the actual body of the review: if you do not like having your time wasted on unengaging gameplay, I quickly got the feeling that this game was about to be ludicrously bloated, and unfortunately had to give it up. I simply do not have the attention span for the pacing this game showed early on, especially for a game that was demonstrating nothing new mechanically from the outset. If you feel that you're happy to sink the time investment into this, however, I imagine you're the type of gamer that'll probably enjoy it.

Amazing, my friend recommended it and i got in a sale, best money i've ever spent on a game, the story is fantastic, the world building is interesting, the combat is a lot of fun, and the puzzles actually challenging, unforgettable experience
LEA!!
Hidden Gem from 2018 - 10/10 I wish I played it sooner back then.. :)
Great game but the puzzles are a bit too often with no breaks between them. It makes playing the game pretty tedious after a few hours. Literally everything is a puzzle. Traversing overworld ? Walking around town? Dungeons? All puzzle room after puzzle room. It would be cool if the puzzles were less about angling your ranged attack precisely and more engaging like some of the quests were where you run around using terrain/bombs and such to thin out hordes of enemies. When I say puzzle, its not simple like just use the right element to light some torch. Theyre multi stepped and most are timed, which you can increase in the settings because most of them are pretty unforgiving if you miss anything. The combat itself is also pretty challenging. Facerolling wont work out well against enemies your level.
