I recently discovered that the studio behind my favorite childhood game "I-Ninja" has made a comeback, so I immediately bought "Croc: Legend of the Gobbos". I got completely hooked on it. I missed out on it as a child, but playing it now feels like being transported back to my childhood. I’m really looking forward to the sequel, and I hope you’ll release a remaster of "I-Ninja" in the nearest future! Thank you so much for these wonderful games! Best of luck to you!

And as a sweet little bonus.
We even get a chance to play with the original 1997 PS1 graphics. Yeah sure it is nothing crazy but it goes to show the love that went into this remaster. Playing with the original graphics feels a lot more nostalgic to me since that is how I remember the game looked like. There is certainly something charming about these old PS1 textures, but of course the HD models are also great to look at. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP6mY9PfrYw
Croc Legend Of The Gobbos is a fine game.
It was originally released on the playstation 1 back in the day and is honestly one of the most underrated platformers on the console. Croc never really got the same popularity as Spyro or Crash Bandicoot, but nonetheless he was still a memorable character in my opinion.
So this is an HD remaster.
It is the same game from 1997 but optimized far better for newer systems. The soundtrack, gameplay, levels and platforming is all the same, but it has been given a fine HD treatment that the game absolutely needed to be experienced and appreciated in the modern day. youtube.com/watch?v=_9fkfq6b1Tg&feature=youtu.be
Review end and conclusion.
While Croc never really reached the same popularity as other platformers at the time I still believe this game should be played by both oldtimers and newcomers alike. It is a very chill game that I have no regrets returning to now and then, and if you can appreciate the game for what it is and its 90s limitations then Croc will take you on an amazing journey! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3043940/Croc_Legend_of_the_Gobbos/
Great Game
Croc never has and still won't blow your socks off but I'm very pleased with this remastered release for modern systems. +authentic retro experience with useful modern QoL features, like the updated analog controls +tough but fair challenges (most of the time) +choice of graphics to instantly swap between "retro" & "remaster", with (overcooked) CRT filter +runs great and supports very high frames! +the score slaps -Croc has always been an also-ran 3D platformer and still is. There just isn't the mechanical or design complexity here to compete with Crash, Spyro, Banjo releases. The bosses, in particular, are insultingly simplistic and there are no new moves to unlock for Croc -1 or 2 of the minigames are rage-inducing -Croc still feels overly floaty & slippery. Combined with the lack of coyote jump makes precise platforming feel much more difficult than it looks like it should -achievements are bugged. some don't trigger on the first try despite meeting reqs and others trigger prematurely
