Crimson Spires is a breath of fresh air that I really needed! I feel like it's been a loooong time since I found a visual novel that made me feel like this game does. The aesthetics are eye-catching and very cohesive throughout the story, soundtrack sets the tone perfectly, the actors are wonderful, and the story was honestly not what I expected at all in the best way. I appreciate how much focus there is on the mystery, not just on Erika and her love interests. Every little detail I get leaves me wondering more about the worldbuilding and I never felt dragged through the story. I'm so disappointed that this game doesn't have more of a fandom, this is the type of narrative that makes me want to spend hours watching video essays and story analyses' on youtube!

Better than anticipated. The storylines mesh well together and the characters are interesting. I love that you can play different storylines from Chapter 6, perfect way to know when you can start ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up haha! I also love that all of the characters have their own flaws (some undoubtedly worse and more...taboo than others). Having different kind of endings for each character was also a good addition. My only suggestion is to include a fast forward option next time! Would be very useful when replaying different routes of the story. I would love to see a sequel to this, as there are so many questions left unanswered!!! Edit: Forgot to mention I love the voice acting, every character was voiced so well! I think it would have been interesting for Maddy's timeline to have the "good" choices still lead to a bad ending, as I never saw her as the type to see reason much. Could have made for an interesting twist, especially if the "bad" choices led to a happy ending.

跟看了部美剧一样。 新游戏+一旦选择回去与否就再也不能读档重来，慎重。 前4条线的疑惑能在新游戏+得到肯定的答案，只有控制遣返会和火车的幕后没明说。夏洛特和奥古斯特都以遣返会的名义骗过人，只有火车送炸药进来骗14个激进警察去炸塔与其他人无关，证明遣返会确实存在。朱利安感觉是夏洛特他爸为她在外面找回的个漂亮玩物，利亚姆纯血种是他家最正常的人，开朗阳光，可惜立绘是脏辫黑人，差点就弃了。麦迪线可以跳过。奥古斯特各个意义上都是最有魅力的人。整体来说剧情都符合人设的，没有太大bug。解释不通的推给外星科技也行，跟那36个塔一样。

I wanted this game since i played the demo and it left me flubbergast. I rly loved the game, quite more than I thought I would, also because MC is a full fledged tsundere and stubborn, very stubborn, but I rly enjoyed to see how she discovered the truth and how the Li melt her more and more. Still, the game is a mix of horror, mystery and thriller and I enjoyed how mature it was written. Don't expect, in a horror title, that everything will be perfect, nope, and I am glad for it. Sometimes the romance felt a bit short, but when I look back at it, it makes sense, but still, when there was romance, I got some great doki doki moments. The story was surprising, scared me sometimes but left me also laughing or just stunned because of revelations. The writing was super, everyone felt so alive. I also have to say I usually don't like eng va, but they did all a great job! I rly enjoyed it! (I am just very spoiled with german and jp va) I love Julian and Liam, Liam my pookie-bear and Julian my cutiepie (lol charlotte, its your influence) - but holy, the secret route was (for me) amazing and I love how MC was at the end (damn girl, you did it) and how everything will be at the end - I accepted not everything will be answered but more important, I need to see them all happy <3<3 So, if you like mature written horror-thriller, with some huge mystery elements and you love story over romance otome, get it! I can rly recommend it. But dont expect a cute, everything is perfect at the end story, this is it not. 8/10 (the art reminds me to the 80's anime style, I rly enjoyed it and also the music was great)

Not quite sci-fi, not quite post-apocalyptic, and with a good dose of fantasy and what-ifs, this VN is set in a small town in rural USA that appears to be controlled by a family of vampires. The smart-mouthed, stubborn-as-a-mule, and gun-toting FBI agent heroine ends up there with a particularly arrogant serial killer in tow, and finds she cannot (or can she?) escape. We are taken through 4 love interests in the first half of the game, with good and bad endings and a host of reveals that push the story forwards. Some may find parts of the story offensive since it does include misogynistic language and a lesbian, however there are no blatant love scenes nor is there any gratuitous violence. The story is well told as the MC and her friends and enemies try to unravel the mystery of why they are trapped in the town while solving a few murder cases along the way. The four love interests result in a wide variety of endings and the player needs to follow them all to get a better idea of what is happening in the town. Having finished them all, a game plus is unlocked which gives yet another part of the story. It is important to allow the credits to roll to be able to continue the game as this is how it unlocks. The background graphics are a bit blurry but this concentrates the player on the characters and what they say, and the accompanying music is great, its not intrusive and maintains the creepy atmosphere of the tale. If you like your VNs with a good dose of humour, less than perfect heroines, heroes that are all too human even when they are not, and where the author does not let an irrelevant sex scene ruin a good story, the twists and turns in this adventure will keep you reading to find out what comes next. Its cheaper than buying a paperback where I am, which makes it good value for money, and its even better if you can get it on special!
