Just really unrealistic

If you have a relatively recent Cricket Captain game, the tiny amount of new features is not worth it. If you've enjoyed the series in the past and haven't played a game in a while, there is value to be had here. I think the most frustrating part of this game is the lack of customisation. I don't think this game needs improved graphics or anything like that. The one feature it desperately needs is a player editor. The base roster that comes with the game is flawed, to a substantial degree, but you can't fix it. Also, editing the roster to allow for more "what ifs" involving all time greats or any kinds of wacky things would breathe new life into this game. I can understand the reluctance for the developer to include an editor. They say it's for online balancing, but online is dead. The real reason is it could reduce the sales. But I don't think that's true. The incredible amount of new content a player editor could bring would bring people in. The what if scenarios would be incredible. What if Bradman played IPL? etc. There is untapped potential here. But no editor means this isn't possible. Which leaves the inaccurate roster with rigid play options. I'd say pass, but maybe the devs will see this.

Terrible graphics for a new game, bowling is too hard on normal, don't waste your money like I did was looking forqard to it but totally disappointed

as a cricket fan its a good game, could be better, particularly in terms of player development, as there is nothing to show how good someone is except stats and salary, but still very enjoyable

Are the comments about the UI and lack of updates valid - Yes. An example is that DRS isn’t in the game even though it’s been around forever. The Netherlands are not in the World Cup - presumably because they’re not on the game for example. However, is it worth the money? Yes, if you like cricket and want to have management simulation. There’s nothing else I can play on Steam Deck like it - oh, it also works great on Deck! I’d recommend it for this reason - I’ll get over 100 hours on this game for a reasonable price. If you already own it, you’ll update it once every couple of years but if you’re looking to get into a cricket sim then go for it.
