CREATION OF A GOD: THE ETERNAL VILLAGE

The game combines action roguelike mechanics, platforming, village building, puzzles, and combat in a procedural world where you never know what might happen. You must fulfill the demands of a mysterious god or you will be destroyed!
-You'll build a village from nothing, choosing from over twenty types of buildings. You'll gather resources in four procedural worlds, filled with unique enemies and surreal environments.
-The world will be full of enemies to defeat in real time. You'll be able to utilize melee combat and the numerous spells available throughout your travels. You can also use your armies to protect the village from attacks.

-During your adventure, you'll solve puzzles using the power of the Crown. With it, you can move allies on the board and use the power of the gods' cards.

-Build houses to bring various types of creatures to the village. Increase the quality of the village by building structures like taverns and artist tents. A high-quality village will generate special citizens with important traits: for example, some will be researchers, others miners, and others diplomats. Be careful, thieves and layabouts may also develop! Furthermore, special citizens, called Anomalous, can give gifts to the king and offer real quests!

-Infinite levels, thanks to the game's procedural core!
-Evolve your village's materials and research new buildings
-Exchange resources and forge armor
...Lost dreams resonate in deep space. They can only be reached by closing your eyes...

This game is fine, it's not peak, but it's just very nice game <3 Appreciate amound of cool ideas and pretty high quality game even though visuals are not the best, gameplay being really great
Challenging game! I really appreciate the mixing between fighting, traps and puzzles you encounter during your travel through each world. The village part is also nice and i reccomend thinking carefully about the space and where to place strategic buiildings (you don't want to lose units during raids and the space is limited!) The bosses are very themed and challenging so be prepared. Thanks for all the deaths and all the fun!
I like this game - it has fun combat, great vibes, and an engaging gameplay loop. It has some shoddy UX kinda like an old school game - things where it would be nice to have hover text, confirmation buttons before certain actions, etc... but I recommend it. The demo gives a great impression of the game and its progress carries over so worth checking out if you're curious. Wanted to leave a review as it doesn't seem like many people are checking it out but I think there's something good here. It's quite sophisticated especially for a very small dev team. You're the king of a little village thrown into a different dimension by a strange event. You venture out into procedural, multi-stage mini-runs in differently themed worlds where you kill enemies, solve chess-like turn based puzzles, and navigate environmental hazards. They end in a boss and there are various ways to return to the village and cache in your loot other than just beating the boss. On these runs you build up an inventory of lives, spells that are very useful, consumables, and village-building resources. Running out of lives clears any resources you gathered on that specific run and loses you your spells, but you can get more. The resources you bring back let you unlock and craft buildings for your village that ultimately allow you to buy powerful temporary buffs for your character and powerful permanent buffs. The village gets attacked from time to time and you can defend it along with help from allies who are spawned by your village and you can give orders to. Positives: - Great vibe. The game's music and gentle, playful aesthetic make the levels cosy to be in. I found myself humming the music randomly and that made me want to revisit it. - The combat is good. It seems basic at first but the enemies become hard enough that you need to engage with its mechanics and there's quite a lot you can do - kicks, parries, dodges, spells. - The progression feels engaging and impactful. Once I learned how the puzzles work, how to level up your village, etc... it became fun going picking specific worlds to get specific loot, levelling up my base, and upgrading my character. It's essential as enemies in later levels will shred you without upgrades. - For what seems to be a 1 person dev team, the onboarding is decent. There's characters in the world that give you tips about managing your base, there's a tutorial, and there's a help / info menu (defo worth skimming through). Negatives: - The UX has some issues. E.g., there's a potion that returns you back to the village prematurely so you can keep your loot if you feel like you can't beat a boss. It's a one click to use it and I've done that accidentally XD It would be nice to pause during the stages but they are concise and most of them have natural points to stop and breathe so not too big an issue. - Can be a little obtuse what to do at times. Maybe the dev can help me but it seemed like one of the later levels (the forest one) has some impassable tiles that blocked my progress - the little slime tile that kills you. I couldn't see a clear way of getting past this but I might just need an item or a character upgrade - in a bigger game I could Google this but here it's a little hard to find that info. Some feedback for the dev: - Found a bug where you can still spend research points on buildings you've already unlocked (happened for the tree for me) - at least if you don't currently have the resources to build it. - I like your game but your trailer and short description could do a better job of conveying what it is. The trailer shows what you do but for someone who hasn't played the game it's not clear how it all links together and it's confusing which bits are turn based, real time, etc... Maybe showing text like "Venture out into procedural levels" then you show that, "Dynamic combat with parrying and kicks", show that, "Get resources to upgrade your village", "Invest in your village to upgrade your character". Also describing that you're a king of a small village of paper trying to make yourself and your village a village of gold while appeasing a demanding God would sell the context more. - A pleasing sound when you parry would make the mechanic feel nicer to use and more important :) Hope more people check this game out and wishing you the best!
Gioco davvero interessante, difficile interpretare il tutorial ma ci sono spunti geniali, alcuni puzzle sono abbastanza impegnativi e necessitano di arguzia.
