Crayon Physics Deluxe

I don't really recommend this game. Not worth $20, not that I spend $20 on it; I bought this game in a bundle. It's fun for a quick play, but the puzzles are a little finicky some times. The extra stars don't make sense either, idk how to get them and I don't plan on trying.

This game captures the feeling of playing with crayons as a kid. In it you are presented a simple crayon picture where you can add shapes to the drawing. The shapes follow a very basic gravity physics. If you make an enclose shape then it has more weight than lines and if it's bigger it has more weight than smaller enclosed shapes, but lines can still counter-balance an object as a pole would if it were long enough. The objective is to move the ball to the star by building shapes which move the ball to the star while crossing any obstacles in the way. You can set up ramps ahead of time and then drop a rock to kick the ball, or you can "flick" the ball with a r-click to get it going. I like the difficulty design: You can complete a puzzle, and there are two extra objectives that limit how much you can draw, for example being limited to one shape. That's an interesting challenge because you have to think about how your shape is going to fall in the world to move your ball in the right direction while also fall into place to help the ball traverse the obstacles. It's hard, but immensely satisfying when you "design" the proper shape which elegantly does both. But that's optional. As long as you get the star you can progress to see more puzzles. (Though there are "bonus" puzzles which I presume are harder locked behind getting all the stars, there are already a lot of levels I have just from completing the first island) This all wrapped up in soothing music and an aesthetic that captures of the feeling of having been a child playing with crayons on a rainy day.
