It’s About Time - the critically-acclaimed Crash Bandicoot™ 4: It's About Time is now on Steam!
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Sep 9 → 8.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It really was about time. (? 🦾🦊
TfB does not understand the Crash ethos. I appreciate an attempt to go outside the box, and several moments do click successfully. The approach to 100%, collect items, Whedon-like writing, cringy voice acting and lukewarm story beats show a different game than this genre, not even this franchise, should have. Actively frustrating and considering not even finishing at this point.

12 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
12 on sale3 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 3 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 12 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's okaaaay. Somehow they managed to take all the fun out of crash bandicoot.
Ultimately looks better in the videos than it is playing the game. I got it at a discount but still cant recommend it, it just comes up short in the most important aspect - is it fun. It can be fun, but it more often is annoying than fun. Pros: Charming environments. Lots of variety. Visually pretty impressive. Cons: Way to hard, you will die a lot in this one. The camera and the 3D element of the game - you'll often die because the view from the camera hides something or the depth perspective of things make it hard to make jumps land as you want or you end up closer to something dangerous than you thought. Almost everything kills you with one hit which is just annoying. Checkpoints are to few and far between forcing you to replay large sections of the game. Nonsensical enemies - its usually very hard to determine how best to approach an enemy or obstacle in the game. Its not obvious how an enemy can be killed or an obstacle avoided. Things are usually not explained to you either but your just thrown in there and forced to figure it out through trial and error, which could be fine if things were not so inconsistent and weird that it often is.
After 20 years, I just came back to play the new version of the Crash Bandicoot franchise, and here we are: I don't know what its developers consumed during the game design, but it took me almost two years to finish the game. Souls-like games are just like adventure games beside this franchise, tbh. After each mission, my body refused to play one more mission, and each level reduced a percentage of my own lifetime. I highly recommend the game for boomers and even new generations to play, but for your safety, never play more than one level each day. The game design team tried to preserve the game’s old style while adding new platforming features to create a fresh, more modern experience and show that this franchise still has potential. Gameplay: 9/10 (sometimes you just can't continue) Story: 7.5/10 Art Style: 10/10 Music: 9/10 Puzzles: 9/10 Game Difficulty: ∞/10
Just way too annoying.
The game runs great, and the controls are what you would hope for. Well made game, but from a creativity perspective, the game wasn't a classic Crash game. It didn't click for me, and this is from someone that played the og ps1 version of the OT as a kid. I just can't recommend it. The games difficulty is build through 100%ing the game, with just beating it normally pretty much a walk through. The level design was solid enough, but only a few moments of fun I come to expect from the game.
Honestly this is one of the best Crash Bandicoot games ever made. Genius level design. Great Soundtrack. Awesome Voice Actors. Pretty ass Graphics. One of the best controlling movements in a 3D Platformer. Etc. Etc. but this is one flaw with this game that is a major one. 100%ing this game is absolute hell. Do yourself a favor and get the "N-Hanced" mod by Rayrobi on Nexus Mods. It makes the 100%ing the game a bit better but is still major ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to 100% this game. Its very unfair and mentally exhausting. Caddicarus made a good video on it explaining why its hell to 100%. Do yourself a favor wait for a sale and get the "N-Hanced" mod when playing this game
Great game if you want to torture yourself.
