I rather have freedom.
⠀
A good laugh at how messed up the whole pandemic has been in politics and the media. Mostly avoids the tragic parts in favor of poking fun at conspiracy theories and bad leadership.

It was kinda funny and entertaining... I suppose...

RPG Maker strikes again! Covid Tale: Ignorance is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This garbage RPG Maker asset flip tries to get famous by exploiting satire around a disease that killed millions worldwide. Yep, that's the kind of thing amateur developers like to stroke their ego with, while they plug around with children's toy game construction kits and tell their imaginary girlfriend that they're a game developer. The disrespect for the lives of so many lost is appalling. And this guy wants to get famous for it. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 13 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
A quick little RPGMaker romp through a humorous take on the havoc COVID-19 and its deniers have wreaked. Avoids annoying, lowbrow memes in favor of...well, lowbrow, funny little digs at deniers and anti-vaxxers. Without memes. An amusing, free game you can beat in under an hour. Cheggitout.
Ta bueno el juego, a pesar de que cuando le doy en cerrar no se cierre ._. . Tiene bastantes referencias muy buenas. Pobre murcielago xD Calificación: 7/10 Covid Tale: Ignorance
Memes! A 30 minute ride through kinetic minigames, brought to you by RPG Maker and royalty free music.
Muy bueno y sin duda gracioso. No lo olviden, no olviden su cubrebocas a la hora de salir. c:
