great
I will edit when I complete the story mode, so let's see how many hours I stack on this beforehand... Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is tied to 1.6 as my favourite Counter-Strike game. It's basically CS 1.6 with updated graphics, a few new animations, revitalised maps and a single-player campaign. In realness this should technically make it a better game, but if you're a fan of 1.6 then by this point I'm sure you don't give af about how your game looks. If I wasn't still kicking it in the womb at the time, I would've 100% pre-ordered this game. Just like 1.6, it evidently shows it's age.. but in it's execution, it's timeless. It still looks, feels and plays out great. An excellent choice of a competitive shooter, again, just like 1.6. It's a shame that it released so closely to CSS, basically the defined sequel to 1.6, because if they hadn't, this game would've gotten some more spotlight and praise. Given the state of the size of the community for these retro games, if you enjoy CS 1.6 and find yourself running out of servers to play on at certain times of the day, purchase this and you'll have an extra few to play on. There's a couple great servers I've been playing in rotation recently with a regular player count exceeding 20. And the bonus - and I hope I don't jinx this or give anyone the wrong idea - the server browser isn't broken yet. THE SERVER BROWSER GENUINELY FKING WORKS. Would genuinely be interesting to see this game being used as a base for a modern rework, keep the game at it's core roots and revitalise it to make it popular for the modern day. I don't believe Valve would allow this in complete honesty.
counter strike condition zero is one of those games that can easily give you hundreds of hours of playtime. you can play on different maps, play with bots, and try all kinds of game modes. one tip for beginners though, when u click on find servers from the main menu and join one, the game will automatically download the map. after that, u can add bots, set the difficulty, and BOOYAH.
