Honestly disgusting that this is being sold in this state. Thankfully, this guy's done the developers' jobs for them with this amazing guide which sorted things for me: if you're picking this up, just follow these steps before hitting play for the first time; you'll save yourself so much hassle and actually have a working game by the end. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3708276050 I didn't, first time around, so here's how it went for me after purchase - booted up for the first time, launched the tutorial just to check the settings; immediate freeze after loading screen - navigate to the .exe in windows explorer, and test all the compatibility options available. None of them work - follow random tips about deleting cache folders or downloading patches. None of them work - restart my machine in exasperation; finally loads in! - realise that 4k, despite being listed in the options, doesn't work correctly - realise that no resolution higher than 1080p works correctly - slowly realise that half the buildings don't appear on screen - Uninstall, about to give up; one last google turns up the guide linked above - Re-install, follow the steps, finally have a working product [i] There is no way it's acceptable in my mind to have a product available on steam that doesn't function correctly out of the box [/i]. It should never be on the end user to have to go through that much trial and error and jump through that many hoops. And the music's still god-awful: it was awful back then, and it's just as bad now! So whilst I'm happy i've finally got it working and got my nostalgia kick, there's no way I'm supporting this practise with a thumbs up. Buyer very much beware (specs attached just for reference - it does eventually work on modern hardware!)

Cela rappelle énormément de souvenirs, mes longues parties quand je rentrais de l'école... Que des souvenirs! Je le conseil pour les fans de la franchises Cossacks. Cependant, ne vous attendez pas à un jeu moderne, tout est resté comme à l'époque!

Gioco consigliato per chi cerca giochi vecchio stampo (nel senso che gli rts di un volta erano tutta altra roba) e per chi non vuole spendere un patrimonio su siti online se siete collezionisti di vecchie glorie videoludiche....metto però due punti negativi : troppi crash e la mancanza nella pagina del negozio dedicata agli altri giochi della serie del titolo Divided Nations sulla guerra di secessione

Игра в принципе хорошая и очень увлекательная. Конечно, поначалу даже средний бот давал серьезный отпор, но со временем я освоился. Главный плюс — в нее действительно интересно играть, нет лишних отвлекающих факторов и не нужно следить за тысячами мелочей, как, например, в Hearts of Iron IV. При этом игра ощущается сложнее по сравнению с предыдущей частью. Единственный минус — заметно, что проект делали в спешке. Например, режим завоевания Европы /игра на стратегической карте явно задумывались как аналог серии Total War, но вышли очень сырыми и недоделанными. Карта маленькая, провинции огромные, и если на вас одновременно нападают две-три страны, то можно считать себя автоматически проигравшим, поскольку у вас всего одна армия. В остальном же игру определенно стоит попробовать, я ее советую. Очень хотелось бы увидеть в будущем качественный ремастер этой части!
