The game has a really cute art style and the creature collecting element is cool! But, it feels like the game lacks a sense of purpose- what am I working towards? what do I do next? and WHY am I here? The NPCs are cute and say silly things but sometimes they say the same exact things. And their dialouge isn't valuable. The overlord seemed enticing and could be a way to open up a bigger quest to work towards and maybe even a greater story to uncover, but it just wasn't that. There was also no music in the game other than on the starting screen. And an enemy came to my farm unexplained, I thought it was a critterling so I tried to tame it but it instead attacked my tamed critterling and killed it :( I guess you have to use the totems to protect them from enemies? I do think with some TLC this game could be improved. It has a creative idea, cute craftables and artstyle. The base is there but there just seems to be a lot missing.
Delightful game, full of charm and wit. The game loop is fairly straight forward, sow seeds, collect wood and stone. Then the twist, you place homes for passing creatures. If you are lucky some will stay and multiple. Each bring bonuses and benefits, I think. What I really love about this game, is not fully understanding just what is going on. The art style is a joy and the game is very relaxing. For me the fishing is a little difficult, thankfully easy to avoid, as all fish can be purchased. Overall a great game highly recommend. Looking forward to spending many hours figuring out just who likes the giant lollipop.
Couple of issues here and there but the developer is fixing them very fast! Having fun just decorating and getting animals to my farm.
This is another case of where i wish i could give a neutral rating. i usually like to give the game the 3 hour minimum before i review, but this one just wasnt worth the slog. it is so cute, the characters are so cute, and i love the cozy aspect. but by day 2, i ran out of things to do and mindlessly wandered; i ran out of time to "catch" the Flufflet and it just disappeared. there were like 3 quests to do, and then youre thrown to the wolves. no quests, no directions, just sleep, water crops, dig up shells, sell, sleep. i probably could have put more time into the creature luring, but without a real tutorial other than "if they are coloured, they are happy!" i dont think i really understood what to do. it has potential, and i will give it a month to get its poop in a group, but in its current state, it isnt worth the buy. Unfortunately, there are HUNDREDS of cozy farming sims, and while Cosmic Coop has a unique twist, the implementation of it just isnt there yet to make me pick it over other games.
Extremely tired of games being released NOT as early access that are buggy, unpolished, unfinished messes. I couldn't even get past the tutorial because a recipe that was supposed to be in the forge was not there. Was very excited for this because it's a cute concept and I LOVE this genre but was quickly very disappointed. I can empathize that a lot of developers on Steam are working alone, on the side of full-time jobs, trying to make a dream come true, but at some point you have to respect that you are taking people's money and time for something that is still in beta and may never actually be playable or finished.
It is a very cozy and chill game in the style of Stardew Valley. I'd say it's more chill than Stardew Valley for sure and adds a little twist with the little monsters to collect (kinda reminds me of Viva Pinata). I did start playing it with controller, but I found playing it with mouth and keyboard more convenient for the handling within the game. One minor thing: Please let it auto stack same items when put into a chest :D Overall if you like the vibe Stardew Valley gives, you will probably enjoy this game. The handling is pretty much the exact same, but a little easier and more chill and overall a bit smaller of world to explore as far as I can tell. In return there's more focus on decorations and creating a nice space for you and your pets. Do suggest for any cozy farming game loving person :)
Super cozy! Been following this game a while now and really enjoy the creature collection aspect of it.
So far I really love the game. In my opinion it’s a fresh take on farming sims. I love the fact that you get to have a bunch of critters on your farm and I love the wide variety of things you can craft. Art style is super cute and I love the character designs My only con is that it’s sort of lacking stuff to do (I.e. more quests would be nice) But the dev seems very open to suggestions and it seems to me that he’s still working on it so I’m looking forward to the new updates
I wanted to like this game because the art style and animations are super cute and as a creature collecting game lover, I like the idea a lot. I'm going to outline my experience which should explain why I shut the game down after only two in-game days. Let's get into my first day. After the tutorial I went into town in search of the tutorial giver because for some reason after you leave the tutorial farm you're at a completely different farm and need to go talk to her to start a quest line which includes more tutorial. Okay, whatever. So I immediately find a character who seems stuck at the bottom of the screen right where you walk in. I talk to him and see the 'shop' option. Cool, I can access their shops while they're not standing at the counter, I really like that! Only I immediately bought a hat because I right clicked it on accident. No 'basket' no confirmation, nothing. Just a few hundred dollars down the drain. That's like half my money. Didn't want the hat and didn't want it in my inventory so I tried to sell it but I can't. Can't delete it either. Still haven't found a way to make some sort of chest or basket but I might just be missing that. There are tons of items/menus with no explanation (tooltips) on what they do unless they're in your inventory which means you have to buy/craft them first. Whatever. Permanent hat. So I find tutorial girl and she gives me some seed and a quest. I go back home to do my little farming thing. After that I put down some decor I got for completing the quest. It completes as soon as you're done, you don't have to go turn it in. Cool, I really like that feature! I go to explore and quickly figure out there are only three areas. The beach, your farm, and town. Oh...okay. Small game, that's fine. I get it. I go back home and get hit with my first creature!! I excitedly go make it a home like the tutorial taught me, each one is specific to the creature that pops up. I put it down and search for the creature but it's nowhere to be found. It took me less than a minute to make its home. Okay...so am I supposed to have the homes ready in advance? I won't know what creature to make a home for until it pops up...and then it's gone before I can make it? Whatever...that irritated me. I can't even keep my first creature that's the main aspect of the game. I go to make a ton of critter homes in advance because I'm tired of this nonsense already. I go to the crafting station and I have another NEW critters home selected. The crafting requirements for it in the box. I craft it. It spits out the same house that I made before. What? Now I have two?? I go back in the menu and realize there are two kinds of selection highlights. One for the last thing you crafted and one for the thing you're hovered over which doesn't go away whenever you're not hovering it just defaults to the top. So when I thought I was crafting the new one I was actually crafting the same one as before. Which used a huge chunk of my resources I spent all day collecting. A HUGE CHUNK. Okay, that's the last straw. I'm out. Also there's no map that I can find, probably because there are only three areas. This game has promise I guess. Seems like it should have been early access and I'm super grumpy that I had to find this unfinished game that lied about itself. You're not even close to being out of EA. Go back to the drawing board, take some player feedback, and clean this up. I'm not a harsh person but the fact that this was sold as a finished game is really irritating to me and feels cash-grabby and lazy. Oh and the "Unique" NPCs with their own traits and personality that it claims to have in the game details? They share dialog. Like exact dialog. Very unique. Very distinct. So much personality. I can't even tell them apart from their dialog unless it's the tutorial game and that's just because she calls you a nickname. Ugh.
This is absolutely adorable! I haven't gotten very far, but I'm currently rating it an 8/10. My only complaint right now is that the prices listed on the items don't match up for what you sell them for. For example, I had a feather that shows 2500 but only sold for 250. I've noticed this with everything I've sold so far. Still, loving this so far!
