The best part about Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko's Hysteric Birthday Bash is without a doubt the ending, which provides more context to the series as a whole. The art style, music, and sound effects used are wonderful and added to the overall atmosphere of the game. I liked the usage of the gymnasium! The title plays like a typical visual novel so a lot of reading is required. I recommend playing through the Corpse Party series before starting this spinoff. I experienced no bugs while playing. It took me ~13 hours to complete the title with all achievements. There aren’t cards but there are Steam Point Shop items available. No moments were particularly funny and because of the campy way they wrote the visual novel, the horror aspect falls flat. The whole story felt like fanfiction and the tone felt extremely offputting. It’s the weakest in the Corpse Party franchise by a longshot. There were also a lot of lewd scenes involving children that felt wrong to read. If you’re a fan of the series then I highly recommend playing this game despite it being the weakest compared to all the other Corpse Party games. If you're a fan of the series and made it through Book of Shadows, you're going to really enjoy this entry! Gone are the rules of sticking to the hard and fast lore of Heavenly Host, the writers have had complete freedom to play around with all of your favourite characters and throw them in all manners of hilarious and amusing situations. Yes this game is stuffed with fan service, and yes - some scenarios can drag on a bit longer than they need, but overall this entry is far more worth it than it appears as just some comedic spin off. Just like Book of Shadows, it's presented in a visual novel style format, but it's makes some improvements with autosaving at every point you're given an option. This makes reloading to go for different options (and therefore different endings) much more convenient. If you're aiming to play these games in succession, I'd still recommend playing this one before Corpse Party Blood Drive. This will introduce you to some characters prematurely, but I still found it to work better stylistically as Corpse Party 2U follows the same visual novel style of Book of Shadows, and is relatively fast paced being a spin off. Overall, while probably more fanservice than game, Corpse Party 2U is an entertaining entry and light hearted spin on what is established as a dark series. It never takes itself too seriously, but still keeps the core nature of it's characters in all situations the same, and that's probably what gives this entry it's charm. Definitely recommend it for Corpse Party fans, especially if you can get it on sale!

Cumpre bem o propósito de comédia que o jogo propõe, e praticamente não tem os elementos de terror e horror da trilogia de jogos original, e termina como se toda a história do jogo tivesse acontecido logo no início do Blood Covered, quando todos os personagens ainda estavam vivos. É realmente apenas fanservice.

Great game for Corpse Party CHARACTER enjoyers ♡ So first of all, this is solely a VN, not like in Book of Shadows where you can still walk around and inspect things. It's a mostly funny, lighthearted comedy with great Corpse Party moments (≧▽≦) The character cast in this one is big, and it even introduces some new characters that appear in the sequel, Blood Drive. For me, most of the chapters were a great read, and they have some funny endings :) I'm so happy to see some of my favorite characters not in pain and just running around (✿◕‿◕) Now for some of the cons that could make some people hesitate to buy this ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ Some scenes are weirdly uncomfortable, like over-sexualized scenes and some weird stuff that's said. So I had to just read one chapter fast because I really didn't wanna play it… (´•̥ ω •̥`) That being said, the voice acting and CGs are really nice again in this game, and the interviews are also interesting(＾ω＾)

jaja esta increíble como logran crear situaciones bastante graciosas y en su mayoría surreales en un juego de una saga como esta y logran mostrarnos caras de los personajes que no podríamos ver en los otros juegos dado su contexto, como el Morishigue cinefilo, la Emi cocinera y el Kizami Power Ranger (? no es 100% necesario si quieres experimentar la historia principal (ni siquiera lo considero canon por no decir que se nota explicitamente que este juego se ubica y es continuación del universo alterno presentado en algunos de los capítulos de su antecesor Book of Shadows), pero si quieres ver a estos personajes pasando momentos cómicos, tranquilos, emotivos y raros en ocasiones (sin dejar de lado el Gore y la oscuridad sellos de la saga por supuesto) este es un juego que disfrutaras bastante. en cuanto a la jugabilidad pues es una típica novela visual en la cual ahora se le da mas peso a las decisiones ya que a diferencia de su antecesor ya no puedes moverte por secciones y la única manera en la que puedes interactuar en con las decisiones, llega a ser aburrido en ocasiones por la falta de interacción del jugador pero pues es lo que hay xd igual vale la pena por el FanService ajajkajksjsjaj. en conclusión 7.8/10 ta bien, la verdad me si me a hecho reír con la absurdez de algunas situaciones e incluso casi me a hecho llorar en algunos momentos bastante emotivos, este juego aprovecha bien su propuesta y nos muestra una cara de la saga que no pensabamos que podría tener. PD: si no te encariñas con la version de Sachiko de este juego no tienes alma bro xddddd.

I have played every game in this series, and this is the only one I actively hated. The characters are so two-dimensional compared to the other games, almost to the point of character assassination. The fan service is just all over the place, and really quite gross in places. But above all else, this game is so boring. You get a series of maybe three or four choices per chapter, and the rest is just reading.
