There's just better options for farming games
I'm a fan of farming sims, but this one just rubs me the wrong way from the very start. - I find both the main char as well as NPCs incredibly unattractive. Seeing the options in the char creator and the initial dialogue, let's just say I know why. - The dialogues are busted. You either have a super slow typewriter effect or you switch it off and the right click option skips over dialogues with every other click. I missed half the dialogue just in the first day. - The animations are weird, both for movement as well as actions. Cutting a tree makes the entire sprite bounce like it's made of rubber. - Farming controls are weird, watering follows character aim direction and not the mouse, but the game camera is angled in a weird way where it's really hard to aim. Screwed up planting seeds in a straight line for the same reason. If I can't like the characters and can't enjoy the gameplay, the game is not for me.

It's a really great game and very cozy. I feel like its better than most of the other games in its genre like stardew valley (very gross game, ewwwww) The developers are still updating the game and adding pretty amazing new content and quality-of-life stuff.
This is now my favorite game in the genre. It combines all my favorite elements of the original Harvest Moon games with my favorite elements of Stardew, and then adds even more. This game has incredible depth and is top tier for the genre. I only wish I'd picked it up sooner!
Why do some games support the LGBTQ community but there's not a single person with a disability?
It's super cute and I love the direction they are going, but it has some very huge problems right now with game breaking bugs. It didn't spawn crucial cutscenes in the diving part of the game so I am stuck plus I didn't know that the item from this cut scene was needed and now I'm in winter realizing that I have to probably make a whole new game file, so not great. If they fixed these things it would be great, but as it stands, pass.
The way the gameplay is made makes it impossible to enjoy, it's very inconvenient because it makes no sense. I usually don't give my opinion especially after such a short game time, but here I'm so sad to have spent that much money on a game that's impossible to play and on a 3D game that doesn't have any camera movement possible. Zero dynamism because of the lack of movement makes it hard to play, and takes away a lot of immersion for this specific type of game. You cannot see clearly what you are doing, targeting a batch of land is not easy, the UI is not balanced, our view neither (like, why is my tool bar bigger than my own character? Why is it so inconvenient to plant or anything?) I usually play with my controller, here it was a mess : multiple control for the same action on a controler is crazy. I won't be able to comment on the story outside the literal first 10 minutes, but for the introduction of the game : I found it was pretty flat, it's like "Oh you're here, voyage good? Good. Here your house, here shipping bin, you're going to do good. bye" this is how it felt. No inside thoughts of our character, very bland dialogue. The carpenter's 3-second dialogue was the most interesting thing, the introduction was so disappointing. Clearly if you're used to quality 3D farming sims, don't buy it. If you are disabled and need a game that include easy selection of batch, fluid character travel, don't buy it neither.
