"Coral Cove" is a simple mobile app that's been dumped on Steam. Barely a game, this is one of those "town builders" where you just tap on some low poly hexes to place bits of coral, trying to get the right bits of coral adjacent to each other. Why? So you can look at it, I guess. Yeah, it's pretty pointless. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

I really like how calm and easy this game is. I can pick it up without needing to put too much thought into it and I can save and come back anytime I want. I enjoy the music and the sound effects from game play. I recommend this game as a relaxing break more thought/planing involved games. There is strategy to getting a long game but you can just play and enjoy till you run out of tiles without a lot of thought when you want to.
Nah, weird mechanics on this one.
Game is cute and fun. Only complaint is that no matter which screen format I choose (full screen, windowed, etc) I cannot move my mouse outside of the game without closing the game entirely.
Amazing chill game! And its about corals? I take it <3
I have happily payed good money for worse games in the same genre.
pretty fun game for chilling
マッチ3……というよりはマージ系パズルゲームかな ワンゲームが結構長く続くけど無限にはプレイできない程度のバランス 無料だしだらだらプレイしたいときに良いかも
Really enjoyed this little cozy coral reef building strategy game, it is fun to play. Also, I think if there were a statistic between other players who played the game before, when you end the game, to compare with your results, it would be cool!
