Unable to run smoothly on a very VR capable rig, it is constantly buffering. I guess the issue is memory speed, mine runs at 2133MHz but the required (at time of writing) is 2993GHz. So either the devs made a typo or they know about some next gen RAM that I don't. Be warned that there is a good chance this won't run on your system if you bought ram that isn't top of the line.
Tried it. It stutters very badly. After troubleshooting for a long while, I scanned the discussion forums and found out you have to run the game from an SSD drive - I wish the dev would have been much more upfront about this requirement as there are LOTS of people who have gone through the same thing as I. The dev should have stated upon launch of the game, that it requires an SSD drive. Or put text to that effect on the game's thumbnail on Steam. Burying it in system requirements is just getting missed by most of us.

Must have!!! low quality 'Welcome to Light Fields' with some plot
even running off a fast SSD drive, the movie buffers every few seconds, making this almost impossible to watch and enjoy. Cool idea, but seems like hardware isn't quite there yet. It also just kinda looks like animated photogrammetry.. so, kinda cool, but also, kinda just weird looking.
I had the same experience with the review from DEEE, I played it on a i9 12900k, RTX 3080, but it buffered like every second, which was very frustrating to watch. I even tried to pause it a bit to see if the buffer got better but no luck. If the developer can find a way to optimize their build ( it's >30GB currently ) and make it buffer smoother I think it's worth the money for 8 mins of a short movie. But for now I recommend not buying it.
Less than 7 minute VR video which forces you to change your size. Suddenly your the size of an ant looking up at the robots, and a moment later you're full sized. I get the pre-render forced location, but I think the "interesting" you were going for could have been far better done with interesting angles rather then what was done here. I'm not going to keep complaining, but there were other drawbacks I just couldn't overlook. Sorry. I can't recommend this, and wouldn't even use this as a "tech demo" for guests who are interested in VR.
+ free vr movie - too short
