During the First World War, a lone French soldier must navigate twisted trenches, scavenge for limited supplies and solve complex puzzles—all whilst fighting for survival in the midst of mankind’s most brutal and horrifying conflict. CONSCRIPT is a new historical take on classic survival horror.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Jesus. I went into this game, not sure what to think, I've researched, learned, and Believed i had a good understanding of the first world war, especially coming from the perspective of my family roots. I was mistaken. I understand that this is a work of fiction, that this story is fictional, but it put into perspective how... brutal WW1 was, or war in general. At first it was about survival, Kill those who wish to kill me, fight against those who want me dead. But soon enough, every body, every man on the ground screaming for help? for their mother? And all i thought was merciful was to put a bullet in their skull. Scavenging corpses and finding pictures of their loved ones, their hopes, their dreams, their children. This game went from a survival experience, to one where i think i lost my humanity, the Pixels on screen, became more than that, they became people with lives, people who were just as scared, just as terrified, people who just wanted to live another day, Andre was just like them. It doesn't matter who fires the gun, both sides are killers. Both sides are young men fighting tooth and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nail to live to see their families again, and if you were unlucky enough to survive, to see your family once more, You were forever stuck in Verdun, The Somme, Gallipoli, Isonzo, regardless of your flag you would never leave that place. I cant even imagine what that must've been like, Both my Great Great Grandfathers fought, One for the Canadians, The other for the French, I never got to meet them, and i don't know what they would have to say, All i know is that if war was anything like this beautiful, terrifying, Heartbreaking game, than I don' know how one would come back from that. Genuinely one of the most disturbing pieces of media i have consumed. This is something i implore anyone to play, at least once.

The game is insane. I love how it presented the psychological horror of war - without relying on monsters as manifestations of trauma, guilt, etc. - as well as physical threats that were authentic to WWI - brutal trench warfare, bombings, poison gas, rats... There's a sadness underlying all the shock and blood and gore that I see the devs took pains to include, which I apprecated. Visually it is very rich for a pixel-style game, and I thought the audio was really well done. I was surprised by how long the game was. I played CONSCRIPT as research for a project I'm working on and I finished the game feeling inspired. Highly recommend!
Probably the best and realistic war game I have ever seen. Although, if you are like me, who keeps looking everywhere trying to find items and hidden "collectables", you are going to struggle a lot with backtracking and resulting dull. But it is all worth it.
Glad I got and beat this game. The art and atmosphere are highlights and what made me want to see it through to the end. That said, I have to give the caveat that I found the game to get tedious at points with a lot of backtracking and frustration since I missed a key item and ended up using a video guide to help me get to the end and I would recommend to another player that if they find themselves stuck and running back and forth without making progress to just use a guide as well. That said, even with that frustration on my end, my playthrough was still under 20 hours, and it could have been significantly shorter.
A very competent, and occasionally scary survival horror game. The experience is immersive, the writing is simple but well executed, and the puzzles are easy to figure out but require a little bit of thinking. It strikes that difficult balance between "puzzle for babies" and "mind numbingly difficult". Which is great, especially compared to the puzzles in some of the older resident evils that defined the genre.
