Completely Stretchy

Completely Stretchy is a fun and silly little game. The stretchy arm mechanic feels great once you get used to it. It takes a bit of practice at first, but the movement becomes very smooth once you understand how to use the momentum while swinging around the environment. The puzzles and quests are generally simple but they’re varied enough that the game rarely feels repetitive. Exploring the three islands was enjoyable. Each one has a different theme, city, industrial, and nature and the world never really felt empty. There are always strange characters around doing random things, which adds a lot of charm. I liked the colorful cartoon style overall, although some areas felt a little bland because of the heavy use of solid colors and minimal textures. The length felt right for this kind of game. It’s short but doesn’t feel rushed. Going for all achievements was mostly enjoyable, although the collectible cleanup near the end became a bit tedious. I did encounter a few bugs during my playthrough. Some achievements didn’t trigger properly, and I got stuck in the environment a few times. Reloading the save fixed those situations, but one achievement bug required starting a new save to complete it. Luckily it could be completed at the beginning of the game. Overall it’s a short, charming, and slightly weird experience. If you want to try something different and lighthearted, it’s definitely worth checking out.
