Command: Modern Operations is the next generation in cross-domain modern wargaming. It enables you to simulate every military engagement from post World War II to the present day and beyond. The scale is primarily tactical/operational, although strategic scale operations are also possible.

I just got this game, and the tutorials are really whack, considering the level of detail and such the game has. The tutorials are essentially pop up menu's that existed in some game from the 1990's. You better do what is said by the letter, from some non-descriptive pop up window, else you'll pass the tutorial 100% without learning nothing, Essentially getting a pop up saying "You're in control of this airbase, you have X Y Z assets, click the airbase and press F9, then click this, and then press Shift Ctrl F9 to view X display and do this..." Then you start the simulation as instructed, and the instructions as to What the ♥♥♥♥ to do disappear, then you have to find what you're doing.... ♥♥♥♥. I guess I have to put in a lot more time, but unless you're willing to learn how to learn via tutorials that aren't built into what you pay for then, yeah... I don't know how to review this game yet, I guess we'll see.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

CMANO is absolutely the best and the most updated mil-sim to date that you can find out there that is open to commercial use and distribution. It's so detailed that you can easily just lost time through reading raw infos placed in multiple databases right after WWII era to hypothetical near future, to get some idea about the vessel/a-c or any unit, weapon etc. that you are planning to use. That's also includes the cancelled projects as well. The learning curve is huge. There are multiple steep slopes that you will find hard to accomplish to reach. But after some time, you'll eventually pass that point and get all the things for you to create your own scenarios, detailly. CMANO is a real time strategy game that is focusing onto real/hypothetical world conflicts. It's more of a tool than a game. You can simulate whatever you like. Just like trying to hunt down a Soviet or Post-soviet SSBN(code for the Nuclear-powered Ballistic Submarines) with a GUPPY-III that's built around 50s. Or you can make a one-vs-all entire Chinese naval fleet. Choice is totally yours. You can create your own approaches by changing engagement doctrines. It's just wild. Totally worth it. Many people rightfully complains about Tacview but I like to see the action so, that's a plus IMO.
A very boring, poorly designed game where weapons refuse to launch no matter what settings you choose
with help from chat gpt this game is awesome and definitely lowers the learning curve
BTW, note the hours is wrong. That's 21 hours of the Steam version, not of the full install version. Of course.. I am former United States Navy and this is by far the premiere Naval Simulation with ONE issue. No visuals. I have wanted and hoped for them to create a 3D engine for this simulation. Something like Fleet Command meets Dangerous Waters meets Pacific Storm: Allies. It's nice being able to play the detail levels they have in this simulation but being able to 'see' the action at the same time and shift around to the major events to watch them unfold... THAT is the simulation I am waiting for.
Was an old Harpoon fan back in the day on the Amiga. Often thought about looking at this game. Got it on discount and it hasn't disappointed. Few hours in and really enjoying the tutorials something I don't normally like. Loads of user content and DLC's has reignited my old cold war Harpoon interest. Take command of the fleet or the strike aircraft or a single helicopter! I also note that its still getting huge updates. Highly recommended, huge content, active community and developer.
