Combat Wings is a pretty old game but I actually had a lot of fun playing it. Even for its age the game runs really smooth and I didn't have any problems with crashes or anything like that. The game is basically about WW2 and you play as an American pilot fighting against the Japanese forces around the Battle of Midway. You fly different planes, fight other pilots, attack ships and do different objectives. It's nothing super complicated but that's what I liked about it. There are 21 missions in total and honestly the missions are really nice and feel pretty vast. I was expecting them to get repetitive after some time but they actually have some good variety and I enjoyed going through them. Some missions are more focused on fighting planes while others have you attacking ground or naval targets. Obviously the graphics are old and the game shows its age, but personally I don't really care about that. I like playing older games and sometimes they are just more fun than newer games trying to be too complicated. Overall Combat Wings was a nice surprise for me. Simple, runs smooth and the missions are actually fun. If you like old WW2 games and planes I think it's worth playing.
