This is a good game even though it's still in Early Access. The only things I find bad are: - no one is online for multi. player - broken skill sets (aka broken spam ability) - once you get chained, it's impossible to get out of it ^^^ countering system is very hard. Like you have to get it exactly correct or 0.1 - 0.2 seconds off in order to counter (which does no damage btw, only makes an opening for you to counter attack) in a fast pace gameplay setting :/ The good things about this game: - fast pace brawling kind of gameplay - very fun when you play against your own skill level - more cool stuff still coming
It's hella fun and there's a lot of depth to the brawling, but the game is pretty much barebones since it's an Early Access title. There's not really much incentive to play yet since there's just Free For All and Team Stock Battle with players or bots, and a good character creator with everything unlocked.
This game is great and brings back fond memories of Power Stone and Super Smash rolled into one! I can't wait to see what's in store for this game in the future as long as the content keeps coming and smaller bugs/breaks are fixed! I've been playing on the Oculus Rift with Windows 10 and have not had any issues so far! Keep up the great work!
Let me start off by saying that if you ever enjoyed games like PowerStone then this is definitely for you. This game is a ton of fun, especially with friends. It can be played with up to four players. There are some levels with unique hazards that are actually fun to play in and dont feel intrusive (unlike every level in Powerstone 2)Combat is fast paced and although combos are pretty limited, you can not win by simply button mashing. There is a parry mechanic, a block, a grab, and a roll that prevent mashers from succeeding. The art style is quite nice and it features some great animations. Its a ton of fun sending your enemies flying like rag dolls with special attacks. Now, when it comes to the special attacks; there are maybe around 6 different ones to choose from. These are called cores, and every character shares the same specials as you select which one you want to use in the character select screen. Each core also comes with different stat buffs. You can also create a character which is a nice addition, of course there isnt an insane amount of options but it is still appreciated. I say give this game a shot, it definitely deserves more love.
The music is cool and the designs are pretty nice. Kinda wish there were more levels though. Gameplay is cool too. I wish you could import your own assets for the custom character though. The parts they give aren't that great and I could personally stand to just import my own. Very weird not being able to use the standard character parts as options honestly. Otherwise the gameplay was not really bad. It definitely could have used a tutorial but I kinda just figured out the parry and dodge mechanics from playing.
Played today and found the game has been updated quite a bit. The backgrounds are beautiful. The controls are not, I repeat not keyboard friendly. It has a learning curve so you will need a controller if you are a nubbie like me. But all in all it played great in the arcade mode. Really impressed.
Great Game
I was worried if I got this game all the women would say I'm an Imbecile and they did.
The UI has an "interpolating smooth animation that takes a second to update", most notably when using the sliders in the character creator. You press left, it gradually speeds up, but then when you let go, it coasts to a stop. I do not find this visually pleasing, and aggrivates my soul.
Was really hyped and bought it. However, got disappointed with the auto-lock-on mechanics and clunky gameplay. I literally stood still, spamming right mouse button and won vs the highest lvl AI, then tried a 1v1 match with my roommate and won the same way, felt really cheap and disappointing to be honest. Thought it'd be a PowerStone/GetAmped style game but it's only apparently.
