First game in a loooooong time that I've returned. I can see where they might be going with this game but it's a long ways off I right now. Incredibly small arsenal of moves with barely any depth of gameplay. While the arenas look super cool at first glance, they're nearly indistinguishable. Creating a fighter is a nightmare and is just a mash up of the same set of moves. I know it's early access but I just don't see what they are going to add in the future here that's going to make this come together. This seems like a pretty first draft demo to me. Awesome cohesive soundtrack. Booooooo basically everything else.

Kinda lame
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage ass peice of ♥♥♥♥. My mom could make a better game. Still better than BF1. Imo worth a dollar. Thanks. God it was frustrating.
The first time I ever saw or heard about this game was at Combo Breaker 2017. After my brother and I had a long talk with the developer about the journey to make this game and played a few demo runs against each other, I fell in love with it. While its premise is simple, the idea of a 3-D fighting game felt fresh and fun, and the characters quickly became unique and memorable. To a more veteran fighting game player, it might feel to streamlined and simple for a real challenge, but this game is certainly a good starting point for new players and casuals in the FGC. Pros + Game runs well on my potato + Most of the characters are fair and balanced + All of the characters are unique and actually interesting + Gameplay is fun, fast, and a great party game + It is a great way to spend a weekend with friends and beer + Soundtrack is appealing and overall good audio quality + The developer is a pretty cool dude + The 2D art loading screens are cute and fun to look at + Bots are semi-competent + There is a character creation button that makes hilarious WWE-style abominations + The ability gems are a fun gameplay mechanic Cons - The actual 3D models of the characters are lacking cell-shading/visual appeal - The tank characters in the game are pretty underpowered compared to the glass cannons - Range characters are slightly overpowered - UI is functional, but not particularly interesting - This is just a personal complaint, but I feel as though Combat CORE is a little bit generic of a title. Personally feel like the game might be better off with a title like Combat GEMS, because a primary aspect of the game is picking gems with different abilities in each.
Game needs A LOT of balancing. The character Jondo has seriously OP attacks and the Shield weapon is unfair with autoguard and return throw. I really like the game so I hope it gets more balanced in the future.
Ooooooh boy. Here we go. Here's the thing: As an idea, Combat Core is a really interesting and fun idea for a fighting game. It has a nice, well rounded roster, its controls are....decent, considering a large amount of it is mapped to the mouse for some reason. The voice acting is good. And hey, Zetto and Kizuna from the Terrain of Magical Expertise are here! That's great! But there's still a hell of a lot of flaws. The framerate, for one, is all over the place, especially in certain stages that have a lot going on. A lot of the supers are really tough to combat and easy to spam (Looking at you, Mist.) And this game dosen't offer much in the way of introducing concepts besides a simplistic set of instructions. I'm sure this, along with some other minor issues, will be patched out, since this game is essentially fresh from the oven. So overall, despite a few rough spots, I would still highly reccomend this game. Especially for old TOME fans. Battle on!
This is a good game even though it's still in Early Access. The only things I find bad are: - no one is online for multi. player - broken skill sets (aka broken spam ability) - once you get chained, it's impossible to get out of it ^^^ countering system is very hard. Like you have to get it exactly correct or 0.1 - 0.2 seconds off in order to counter (which does no damage btw, only makes an opening for you to counter attack) in a fast pace gameplay setting :/ The good things about this game: - fast pace brawling kind of gameplay - very fun when you play against your own skill level - more cool stuff still coming
development for game is at a halt, discarded and or trashed, in fact the current version of game isn't fun... it's really bad... how so you ask? 1; i asked developers on the forums 3 separate times, when is full game release?? they lied and lied and lied, then they deleted the forum threads to cover up their lies. the full version of this game was suppose to be out early this year, did it? the developers are liars. 2; the game itself is so bad, the controls are beyond clunky, the mechanics are sooooooooooo badly made, the combo system is worse than tera's spacebar combo nonsense that every reaper used. the games mechanic overall for a arena styled fighter is the worse i've seen.. it's soooooooo bad!!! sooooooooo bad!! the mechanics are so bad that it's like they stole the movement/ jump mechanics from the game Hover and didn't adjust it to non skating... it's so bad i can't even describe how bad the mechanics are (in any form of a nice manner)... it's so badddddd i wouldn't accept money to play this piece of work... SIDE NOTES; this isn't the worse game on my games list, but this game DEFINITELY DEFEATS the game Zombie Playground for BAD MECHANICS!! and zombie playground is a VERY broken game that is absolutely TRASH.. how does a TRASH game have better mechanics?????? WARNING; this game is #1 on my games list for clunky trash mechanics. you've been warned.
I'm digging it. Reminds me a lot of Power Stone. Mostly just needs more people!
