i like cofee and i like games about coffee, thats it. this is a 2d overcooked with the theme of coffee, and the procedures of making coffee is quite realistic ------------ the game is still in ea, the ui is not perfect, but the devs response is superultra fast. ----------- (update 14/2/2020: the game now support both) currently only support xbox controller but not ps4 ------------- the game will be update weekly, and the last game that update weekly i can think of is...slay the spire, this is a plus for me ------------- i hope there is a shop that is more relaxing and casual, and i can make latte art in it~
This is an interesting simulator. While the gameplay is a typical platformer the game mechanics are more modern with role playing etc. https://www.hardcoregames.ca/2020/01/18/coffee-break/
If you want to see more reviews like this, follow me as a curator: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/34792193/ Coffee Break is a "casual" simulation game with a premise very similar to Overcooked. Some love their gourmet dishes, while there are also those who love coffee. Overcooked focuses on gourmet dishes, while in Coffee Break, instead of being a chef, you are a barista, hoping to satiate the insatiable. The game is quite fast-paced. The reason that casual is in quotations is that the game is deceptively casual. While the orders seem simple enough, you have limited time to complete tasks. While doing one or two at a time could be manageable, when you get overwhelmed with tasks, they don't seem as innocent. When playing the game, you don't just pour coffee into a cup and give it to the customer. You must brew the coffee, place a filter, filter the coffee, throw away the used filter, and then you can sequentially pour coffee for your patrons. The game is nearly a single or two-player Overcooked. Coffee Break has one distinct feature that is controversially valid. The game has more progression than Overcooked, and it is also an incremental game. When you look at it from the exterior, it doesn't seem so, however, the more you play the game, the more you will realize the similarities. The game is also similar to a restaurant game in that you can spend money decorating your cafe to make customers pay more. In this fashion, the game acts more like an incremental game than a simulation game. I doubt I'll ever be able to find someone who'd be willing to pay $35 for a coffee except in an incremental game. Though some parts are less realistic than others, the game still gives you that feeling of progression when you unlock new recipes and inflate your costs. As a barista, you must deal with copious amounts of people. The game prompts you to try to satisfy every customer to get that perfect score, and though quenching the unquenchable sounds like a fool's errand, it is. The game berates you with client after client until you realize that you are running out of time. In conclusion, the game is an incremental simulation game that also strives to be realistic. The game is quite pragmatic in the process of producing coffee, but less so on distributing it. I'd recommend buying the game if you liked the game Overcooked but like coffee even more.
Pretty fun! Love the graphics, the music, and the simple but engaging gameplay. It gets hectic! Haven't gotten the chance to play with 2 players yet, but I'm sure that'll be even better!
A great game that I really can only recommend. A super cute game and brain training at the same time. If you want to invest in a very friendly game developer who is maintenance the game and constantly feeding it with new ideas...is here on the right place. ;)
Very nice game to make coffees on sold them to customers. Buy milk, coffee and so on, Make coffee and make mor money.
This game sucks! I bought it during the pandemic and the controls were awful. It hasn't even been updated in 5 years.
