Code Trainer

"THIS GAME WILL NOT TEACH YOU HOW TO CODE" should be in font 10x larger. This should really be called Code Tester not Code Trainer. Not for beginners at all. I consider myself a late beginner / early intermediate Csharp programmer. I have over 300 hours programming in Unity and before that took 4 different beginning and intermediate Udemy tutorials, sometimes completing them multiple times without difficulty. After all my lessons and practice in Udemy and Unity, I still feel my capacity is limited as I feel like I'm recycling the same programming skills over and over and not learning new techniques or concepts. Thus, I purchased this "game". I was unperturbed by the lack of IDE syntax assistance, and saw it as a useful challenge. However, I was quite surprised I couldn't even get through the first easy interview questions because the mathematics and concepts involved were definitely nothing I had done before in programming. So I clicked on the "Learn" section, and found an anecdote about Alice doing her own research on Reddit and Google and learning how to learn. So, basically I bought an app that tells me to do my own research via free sources like google or ChatGPT. Brilliant. This thing will not "TRAIN" you at all, it will only test what you already know. I feel like I bought a session with a personal trainer, but instead of training or instructing me they tell me to train with someone else. The only reason I'm not asking for a refund is maybe, MAYBE in a year I'll come back and see if I've improved.

If you're not sure not sure if [b]Code Trainer[/b] is something for you: try the demo first, or try out codewars.com. If you're into it - like I am - then get it. It's worth it. 👍

This is a coding workbook that's a decent tool and does what it advertised. Play the demo. This is NOT an educational tool unless but it can be a companion to your educational material and can be a convenient way of self-assessing your fluency and strength across the supported coding languages. Price is fair for what it is but if you buy something useless to you, it will always be overpriced. If you want to learn code then you are better off buying a book or going through a YouTube playlist. There are also courses online and platforms like Codewars, Hackerrank, Leetcode, W3schools, freecodecamp and more.

I like it this far. As the title of the game implies, it is by core a training tool and not a learning tool. That being said it can definitely be used to test your knowledge on a variety of CS concepts, and as such you're quickly able to learn which topics you know, and which topics you would need to read-up on. No matter if you're fairly fresh to coding (note that some basics are required), or an experienced programmer, you'll most likely find some good challenges here. Worth the money for sure!

Great for brushing up your coding. Dev please add a solution tab, especially for the harder ones. I'm smacking my face into the keyboard here for the some of them.

Полезная штука, если хочешь позаниматься вне codewars или leetcode или оффлайн например. Задачек не очень много, но интересные даже на уровне beginning. Ну и разработчик крупными буквами пишет, что игруха с нуля не учит, так что справочников по языкам внутри не ждите. Но есть справочник по алгоритмам и структурам данных. По сути, прога - ide, и либы самостоятельно скачивает.

Not a game but more of an offline version of LeetCode/ HackerRank/ Codewars etc Can be good for CS students & experienced dev but not for everyone though as you should know some basics before jumping onto this type of resources Ctrl + W to exit the app btw
