i plan to use it for my college thesis
This is pretty sick, one feature that would make this amazing is if it let you save the text as a looping gif of the text that fits on the screen, maybe even with toggle-able transparency for the background to be able to use it in games or other projects, other than that its still pretty cool to play around with, wouldn't use it as a serious noting text editor
It's okay, though I wouldn't recommend using this full-time as I was planning on doing. First issue: With the way the color and styling is done in plaintext, files can get messed up if you do certain things, here's an example: I usually write plaintext lists like this: - List Item #1 - List Item #2 - List Item #3 - List Item #4 - List Item #5 But sometimes I write them like this: * List Item #1 * List Item #2 * List Item #3 * List Item #4 * List Item #5 Nested I write like this: - List Item #1 -| List Item #1 child - List Item #3 -| List Item #3 child --| List Item #3 child child All of these don't work well with the parser and it's a very odd issue, to be honest I'd rather use a .TXTR file or something similar if it means I would have the effects without affecting the readability of my text documents. I'd be fine if the software had something akin to BBCODE where it had a stop and start point that the parser reads for. But it does not, for this reason I cannot use the software in the way I intended to use it. Second problem for me is the lack of customization, I cannot change the color palette for the program nor can I add syntax highlighting like the previous TEXTREME product. The Symbols pane is nice but it doesn't give me as much freedom as I was expecting, something akin to a vertical Minecraft creative menu bar. With all unicode sets with a clear icon for each. Third problem is the sliders, they're great but there is no way to just manually input a number, for instance I had my jerk at 101% and couldnt get it back to 100% without turning my mouse sensitivity to the lowest point it can go. Fourth is no features most text editors have, no find and replace, no syntax files, no syntax selection, etc. If notepad has more features than your editor, but not as much "juice" you're doing something wrong. Fifth ties back into the color palette thing I can't really change the colors of the characters, though my favorite was the bell. Sixth is for me, it gets really slow after having it open for too long, I'm wondering if it's just poor optimization on the engine's end or the developer's. Well, I'm done with my review for this product, it's a shame, as I was really hoping this would be a direct improvement over the original, it is don't get me wrong but both have issues and I'll have to look elsewhere for a interactive text editor. Thank you for reading.

pretty dope although i wish there were more options for customisation, like being able to make certain words a certain colour or style because i'd love to program in python on this and being able to add custom sounds and change fonts would also be cool. but yeah right now it's really fun to use and i can see myself using it more in the future! thank you for making such a dope text editor developer people!! :)
This is the program that got me to love writing again. It's probably not for everyone, but if you want your writing process to be more cheerful, playful, and fun to watch, Textreme is for you.
Visual Studio Code been real quiet since this dropped
Extremely useful for people with ADHD, the interface and everything is very stimulating, plus it also looks really cute.
It's what you expect it to be: a fun and more exciting text editor. And do you need more than that? No! No complaints!
it helps me learn
┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ┃ -intro- ┃ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Hello, today i am going to be reviewing this application because this is so so so so so fun. I really love editing text documents in this program. ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ┃ -characters- ┃ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ I love the little bird fellow who *DETONATES* a bomb every time you type a period or other punctuation (eg parenthesis). Another character that i love is the woodpecker. They peck on the screen whenever you type causing the screen to shake which really adds alot of *IMPACT* to anything you type. Other characters such as the bell (who makes a noise whenever you hit the |enter| key) also add alot of life to the program. however if these features annoy you they can always be turned off by simply clicking on the character. There is one other character in the application but i am yet to discover their triggers and purpose (i have since discovered that the creature inside the bird house does the auto saves, very cute). ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ┃ -other stuff :)- ┃ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ There is also a symbols area that allows me to type charterers such as ❶. This is an amazing program! It also makes cool noises (thanks to the woodpecker) when you type so that is always a plus! Thanks for reading and have a great day, -Alicemation [typed in texstreme 2]
