It’s a linear visual novel with interactive code segments, no branching routes or choices, just a straight path through a post-apocalyptic setting filled with emotional wounds, AI ethics, and... coding tutorials. I shouldn't have liked it. I don’t like linear visual novels, and I don’t like coding. But somehow, I enjoyed myself anyway. It’s meant to be an educational game where you learn C# functions. Now finished, can I code? No. Do I know some coding terminology now? Yes. Not a bad place to start if you're even vaguely curious about how code works and learning to do so yourself. Concepts like variables, if-statements, loops, and nested function calls are introduced slowly, in context, with plenty of feedback. You’re not writing 100% of the code yourself, instead, you’re tapping through drop down options and thinking through what makes sense for a single line of code that’s already 95% written. It’s more logic puzzle than blank-slate programming, which honestly works well for teaching and avoids overwhelming you. The relationships, both romantic and platonic, unfurl between those programming segments. I didn’t expect to care about a certain side character, but when the drama finally kicked in... oof, the feels. Honestly, I needed the story as a carrot to keep tapping through the coding puzzles. It worked, but this is not a game to play when you're sleepy. I played it about 2 hours a session, over three evenings. I'd buy the sequel if it came out. That's a recommendation eh?

i love this game, 'programming' is one of my favourite game type, but the character and story make this game unique and shine the game introduced the world and background quickly and the characters are well establishedl for the programming part, i guess its for those who are interested in write code but do not know about 'C', so it teach every word quite clearly. havent finish the game but i am hooked by the story so i will surely play more soon
Still playing through the game but it's been very helpful so far! I really love the logic puzzle/riddles minigames. Coding's not really my thing, so I've been playing the levels over and over again until I feel like I really understand why I'm putting this syntax here or there and I think I've been retaining the lessons better than any crash course I've been through so far. The in game dictionary is also really helpful and I should be using it more lol. However, I'd love like a Puzzle Select or Review mode where you could go into specific puzzles that gave you trouble instead of going back through the whole chapter just to play one. Alternatively, an actual cutscene skip would be nice instead of having the dialogue scroll past really fast but you still have to wait for the animations to play out.
Since only the basics of coding were covered i wasn't incredibly challenged but enjoyed the game a lot nonetheless! Interesting story/worldbuilding, nice puzzles and wonderful art :]
Charming story that had me very engaged. Lots of imaginative characters and witty moments that made me laugh. Overall it's very well written! The gameplay of learning to program is perfect for getting your feet wet in a non-intimidating environment. Once I realized this I had my friend who had been meaning to try coding download it and we played it together on his account. (Hence my low play time) Very clear the creators put in a lot of heart. IF YOU ARE AT ALL INTERESTED IN PROGRAMMING, THIS IS THE GAME FOR YOU :)
I played this game at a very slow and chill pace. I liked the art, the post apocalyptic story, the characters. About the programming part, it gave me a nice introduction about it and a way how to analyse and use logic without being bored. Some puzzles were harder than the other ones which required more time to think, but if you read again the explanations from dialogue and click on the words, you will get it eventually, some are even common sense. I'm really curious what is the true ending, what happens next for this game, Leon, Mina, Mina's mom, Alice and others.
Möchte man, so sieht man grün, was stimmt, rot, was noch falsch ist.
https://youtu.be/2FcQUXE-jIE Light puzzle code themed puzzle solving greatly enhances this visual novel's ability to hook players. The hand draw art is colorful and vibrant bringing the variety of characters to life.
I like both the instruction format, as well as the story! I recommend it to anyone into VNs and interested in coding introduction (c#).
The game is very beginner friendly. If you can recognize patterns and compare with the first example they give you, you can get by without reading much, I think. Mina is a little hard for me to like because she leans so hard in her unsubstantiated unlikability (awkward, last-chosen, downer) when everyone constantly corrects her self-talk. But thankfully there are enough cast members to look forward to, including Leon (is it really spoilers if I say Leon is in this?) Also the pacing is very nice, moving the plot forward
