So there I was. Standing in the fish and chip shop. Staring. Unblinking. The guy behind the counter looks me dead in the eyes and says, "It’ll not be long." Something inside me shifts. Something ancient. Primal. Eldritch. My mouth moves before my brain catches up. "It had better be wide." The fryer stops bubbling. The air goes still. Somewhere in the distance, a seagull screams. The man does not react. He does not move. He is processing. The words hang in the air like an unspoken prophecy, thick with the weight of their significance. A single bead of sweat rolls down my temple. The menu flickers. The lights dim. Behind the counter, the chef drops a fillet of cod and it lands on the floor with a wet, solemn slap. He does not pick it up. He simply stares. The man at the register finally blinks. He nods. Once. He turns and disappears into the back. Minutes pass. Hours. Days? I have lost track of time. I have grown a beard. The other customers have left. It is just me, the empty chairs, and the hum of the freezer. Then, at long last, he returns. He holds before him something incomprehensible. It is wide. Not long. Wide. A fish, flattened beyond all reason. An aquatic paradox. A creature that should not be, yet is. The laws of nature have been defied. Reality, bent to my will. He places it in front of me. No words are exchanged. I take a bite. I see everything. Kind regards, Mike
I’ve been playing Cod Quest for a couple of hours, , but with a twist—you’re not just cooking, you’re saving the whole fish and chips industry from an invasion. The gameplay is super fast-paced. You’ve got to cook orders, serving customers, and upgrading your shop while also If you mess up an order, you lose money, so there’s a lot of pressure, but that makes it even more fun. , you can unlock new chefs, each with their own special skills, which adds a lot of strategy i still need to play more of the game since i only have 2 hours but i rate it 9/10 it has minor bugs but im sure the devs can fix !
Ended trying to fist-fight the customers , somehow more stressful than plate-up and that's good. There are some glitches but with some polishing this can be a good simple game worth the time and money.
Splendid game!
If you are interested in this game for multiplayer, I would say hold off and keep watching the discussions thread. This game currently has a game breaking bug that prevents starting a multiplayer session. This does seem to have been reported on December 28th but so far no acknowledgement from the developers.
This game is unfinished and broken. There are bugs that will easily soft lock you from making progress. Missing many crucial settings (can't even adjust mouse sensitivity). NPC models will just stand inside each other, and it's confusing who wants what. This seems like a game that someone started making in their spare time; which is fine of course, but as is, I wouldn't spend money on it.
