Atmospheric puzzle platformer that tries something new. Levels are dark and because of that you fall into darkness. Just make sure to grab some light with you to have some kind of ground underneath your feet. Explore surrounding to know how to proceed. Orbs of light can be placed in designated places to make moving platforms. Soundtrack is great and can play in the background making you jump on the chair. Simple visuals, but idea and execution is good. Can't complain, maybe not great for every mood but at least it makes something out of nothingness. High five in complete darkness.
An incredibly idea with fantastic atmosphere and art, that just lacked in the gameplay. The light mechanic means that puzzles are obfuscated, and the solution often requires a higher level of platforming or quick movement than I like in puzzle games. It means each puzzle started with me spending a decent amount of time trying to figure out what I was looking at, then trying to solve it, then trying to execute it, whilst often accidentally dropping off the edge of the screen. Many of the puzzles are also much bigger than the size of the screen, which just makes that initial obfuscation even more frustrating.
Extremely underrated
Surprisingly solid puzzle platformer game I must've bought in some bundle more than a decade ago and gave it a shot only the other day. The gimmick is already well-described in the blurb - you traverse pitch dark rooms where things exist only if lit with a source of light. It usually means moving a light orb around increasingly convoluted paths, mixed with a number of tricks and environmental effects, such as bodies of water or reflectors. My only two gripes are - water levels suck, as they usually do in every platformer, and Closure is very much a platformer, requiring some degree of timing and reflex; operating lamps and such, which rotate by 360 degrees, seems designed for gamepad controls, but on a keyboard it's pure hell, more than half the time the keys change the direction of rotation seemingly at random. Otherwise, it's more than 80 levels of very nice brain teasers, with 30 optional items to collect to unlock the True Real Ending. I didn't bother with it, since the game is very subdued and boasts no writing whatsoever. There's not that much environmental storytelling either, the game runs purely on mood. It's worth the dollar I've paid for it during Obama.
Only sometimes to make a great game, you need a big budget. Sometimes great ideas, handcrafted graphics and smooth gameplay work. Closure, includes it all, packed in a dark monochrome world with a good soundtrack and environment. It is a puzzle game, but you will never get stuck in impossible puzzles. Some may be more complex, but at least it will guarantee hours of engaging play. For me, is a thumbs up.
A short and eerie puzzler worth trying out for their intriguing light mechanic. After the tutorial stage, the game seldomly gives any more advice and you are left to your own to figure it out. So stage completion can vary between "I see the full picture and I know what to do" and "I- I don't think I was suppose to do that... but it worked?!". Love the atmo and the music! Some advice from me (don't read if you want to go in completely blind... ha):
- Yes, some silver moths are out of the way and requires back tracking (or redoing) steps to reach. Hub world will highlight which stages have silver moths once you complete all three worlds. - In the 3rd world, you can move the reflective lenses/mirrors. I might have missed a tutorial prompt for it and spent a good couple of minutes pacing back and forth. Until I finally got close to one and noticed the thing highlight as interactable).

Closure
