Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Story
Clid, a snail with an attitude, has been banished by his community for being reckless and bringing war to his people. His Banishment brings him to cooperate with a makeshift group of individuals who embrace him and offer him a chance to do good.
Gameplay
It is a top-down shooter with some puzzles here and there, but mainly an action-oriented game. We get to use a varied set of weapons and throwables, enemies are mainly slugs among others that show up depending on the mission.
Graphics
In terms of graphics this game is decent, however it does look like the engine feels old and new at the same time, not much to add.
Sound and Music
Voice acting is not a thing here, it’s just gibberish, which makes sense, the characters are mostly insects and other critters, it fits the atmosphere, humans are gone anyway, it would feel weird for the insects to speak english or any other language. Musically the game offers these atmospheric sounds and acoustic guitar sad tones among other melodies, nothing spectacular, derivative.
The Bad
I really wanted to like this game, however as soon as you start the game and check the options you know something is wrong, no 1440p resolution but support for 4K? Why? Any reason for the lack of 1440p support? There is even UltraWide support. This is by far the worst offender, when playing the graphics are affected when you are forced to play only on 1080p, this because everything looks muddy and ugly and at the same time bright to the point that the gameplay and screenshots on its steam store look much much better than the actual gameplay. There are not many graphical options either, no way to adjust the FOV, making enemies sometimes attack out of nowhere, the auto aim won’t work sometimes, shooting feels slippery and imprecise, the FPS options are varied but again, why is there no 144 or 165 option, 30/60/120/500 FPS, why? Such awkward and strange decisions. On my final session, I found an annoying audio bug, music stops playing and every sound effect feels mono, as if stereo is gone, it came and went a couple of times and that was the final nail in the coffin for me.
Conclusion
Clid the Snail has a fascinating concept, a bug world after humans go extinct, a new society of critters and their own cultures, but gameplay is boring and repetitive, it feels half baked and the strange decisions in terms of graphics is such a let down. such a pity.

This game gets a slight thumbs down. The shooting works well enough, although the auto aim randomly doesn't seem to work. Theres multiple different guns, although due to the ammo you can only use some of them sparingly compared to a gun with infinite ammo. I also got all the weapons and shells 1/2 through the game so there was nothing else left to unlock. Theres also some shells, but you only use 1 at a time and all it does is give you a special ability to use 1-2x/level which isn't very well signposted when its ready based on the UI. Speaking of UI, its kind of awful in the vendors as theres no way of knowing they have extra tabs with more items and like me you might not realize it until way late in the game. Lets talk about the rest of the game. The game itself is pretty ugly and bland looking with mostly grey uninteresting environments. Theres way too long dialogue during and between missions with gibbering voice acting that you'll likely just skip because its boring, but sometimes cues of what your objective is are in there, punishing you for skipping. The final twist of the game was super obvious and signposted. The story is pretty boring, as you're just clearing out nests of slugs and other animals before heading back to base and doing it again. Theres also nothing unique to you being a slug really. The rest of the game is just boring as well, which is this games biggest sin. You fight mostly similar looking slug enemies that just run at you and you backpedal while shooting them with the same guns. The 4 early-mid game bosses are the worst excuse for a boss fight i've ever seen and they play out the same: fighting respawning waves of enemies until boss sits there and you shoot him to a pre-set amount of health and then repeat 3-4x. Every single boss is the same thing, which isn't an actual boss fight because you don't actually fight them, and this is the laziest design I've ever seen. The final set of bosses are actually unique and well done and its a shame they don't do this earlier in the game. Like I said, the game isn't awful, its just bland, ugly, boring, and repetitive. You could do worse but could also do much better. 6/10.
Absolutely not!
Tres sympa
Amazing experience. Truly, only thing I would like is more of it.
Basura
Great top-down shooter that rivals games like The Ascent. A short and sweet experience that delivers the best the genre has to offer. Whether buying it on sale or full price, Clid the Snail deserves every cent it demands. The story dials in on themes of found family and betrayal. If you can handle a little bit of animal-on-animal violence I couldn't recommend this game anymore. 10/10
