Spooky, challenging, and excited for part 2.
Definitely enjoyed the game, playing it all the way through was a blast and I loved the twists and different challenges of some of the parts. The way different types of games are mixed and thrown in is awesome, BUT, the game left me wanting more. I want to keep going and exploring. It definitely needs more content, or else you're left with a thirst for more of it right after. Overall though, for my first time playing a horror game through, it was great.
Claytown Horror is such a promising horror game. The title isn't a lie : the world around you is clearly made of clay, with a mix of pencil, cardboard, etc. The Art design is very unique and it's such a refresh when you see all those games that want the best graphics ever so it looks like reality. This horror game is one of the few games that really freaked me out. The devs clearly understand how to scare at the right moment. As the description of the game says, this is part 1, and the ending reminds you this if you forgot. And at the ending, I really wanted more. And I really hope the sequel will expend more of this Clay universe. This little game clearly deserves more attention. Please do more of this
has some good scares and puzzles, good speedrun too
good game
PLAY THIS GAME!!!PERIOD!!!!
This game has such a unique visual style and made similar game mechanics feel fresh (specifically those twin characters). Some moments can be confusing, but after figuring out what to do it becomes real fun (and sometimes terrifying). Excited for whenever the second half comes out.
This game is worth it. It has an AMAZING soundtrack. Good gameplay, and a wonderful team of devs. The atmosphere is breathtaking and the visuals are lovely. There is so much potential in this game, and I know the devs with unlock that. Can't wait for the second half!
One of the highlights of ClayTown Horror is its intricate puzzles. From deciphering cryptic riddles to manipulating objects in the environment, each puzzle feels satisfyingly challenging yet rewarding to solve. The game strikes a great balance, ensuring that the puzzles are neither too simplistic nor frustratingly difficult, making it accessible to a wide range of players. Without spoiling too much the variety of puzzles felt just right. The storytelling in ClayTown Horror is exceptional. The dark and foreboding atmosphere is expertly crafted, enveloping players in an eerie sense of dread throughout their exploration. As you delve deeper into the secrets of the estate, the narrative unfolds, revealing a grisly mystery that keeps you engrossed until the very end. The attention to detail in the storytelling is commendable, with rich lore and subtle hints that gradually build suspense and intrigue. One unique feature of ClayTown Horror is the ability to look through keyholes. This adds a layer of anticipation and suspense, as you never know what horrors or secrets might await on the other side. It's a small but effective mechanic that enhances the immersion and keeps you constantly engaged in the environment. Overall, ClayTown Horror is a captivating and atmospheric game that delivers on its promise of horror and mystery. With its intricate puzzles, immersive storytelling, and the unique thrill of peering through keyholes, it offers an experience that is both chilling and satisfying. If you're a fan of horror games that challenge your mind and keep you engaged from start to finish, ClayTown Horror is definitely worth exploring. Note: This review is based on my personal experience and preferences as a gamer. Your own enjoyment of ClayTown Horror may vary depending on your gaming preferences and tolerance for horror elements. Graphics: 8/10 (Very stylized graphics which help with the immersion into the environment the game pulls you into) Gameplay: 7/10 (Although I thoroughly enjoyed most of the game, a couple parts left things to be desired) Multiplayer: N/A Replayability: 6/10 (Although replaying to hear the different phone voice lines or finding some easter eggs is fun, once you've played through the story, the ending doesn't feel the same. Speedrunning on the other hand is quite fun.) Community: 9/10 (Community is quite helpful and the developers actively work to fix any issues or reported bugs) Overall: 8.5/10
