Whilst this is a good game and I am having a lot of fun, it's by far the most bugged game with random object placements I have ever seen in a game. Trees in walls, switch's in the ground and stairwells halfway through the floor. This game needs a lot more time in the oven to become perfect. I'm still stuck at the Megladon lagoon as the switch to seal up the lagoon is no where to be found.
not worth buying, it's basically an unfinished proof of concept. Hopefully modders will turn this into an actual game, otherwise it needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

Honestly a really fun and pretty scary at times dinosaur game, a lot of complaints are from people who haven't gotten passed the tutorial or have potato pc's and it shows. The game does have bugs but I have not had any game breaking bugs and it plays amazing for me. I haven't beaten the game yet but I look forward to seeing the scary aquatic dinos!
- The game can run on Epic settings with a stable 55 FPS, according to the FPS counter, but in reality the game feels like it's freezing or lagging. On Medium settings, I get around 80 FPS, but the game still has noticeable stuttering - Too many bugs, For example, lighting can shine through walls and buildings into areas it shouldn't reach, even when the torch/light source is clearly blocked by a wall. - The camera and character movement also feel awkward. In FPS mode, character and ragdoll movements look strange and unnatural. In TPS mode, the camera movement can be awkward as well, and it sometimes gets in the way or blocks the screen. There is also no option to adjust the Field of View (FOV), so you can't control how wide or far you can see. - There are a lot of invisible gaps/floors that you can fall through. For example, at the water park slide, you can suddenly fall through the map while trying to climb onto or slide down it. What's even worse is when swimming in the nearby lake/river—you can fall all the way to the bottom and get stuck there. You can't climb back up, and there isn't even an emergency respawn option. - Game has a save/load system, but when I tried loading a save, the game started from the beginning and all of my progress was reset. However, collected items such as weapons, ammo, key items, and useful items like the wrench were still carried over. I had to redo everything from the start—opening gates, turning the electricity back on, and repeating all the previous objectives. It's incredibly annoying to go through all of that again just because the save system doesn't properly restore your progress. - There is no minimap HUD, which makes the game unnecessarily difficult to navigate. To check the map, you have to manually open it through the menu/settings. The full map also can't be zoomed in or clicked to show your current location, making it difficult to figure out where you actually are. You basically have to guess your approximate location and where the next objective is. The map also doesn't show the names of roads, locations, or areas, and there are many icons without any explanation of what each icon represents. - There is no clear button or UI indicator for tracking tasks/objectives on the HUD. - Some of the tasks, missions, and objectives are poorly explained. For example, I explored an area that the game never directed me toward, and suddenly received an "Objective Clear" notification. But what did I actually clear? Did I unlock something? A new area? Fast travel? There was no indication of what the notification actually meant. - There are no subtitles, either during cutscenes or regular in-game dialogue. - The game often feels more like a walking simulator than a survival game. There aren't many objects, hidden messages, or environmental details that you can interact with, and the amount of loot feels quite limited. Considering how large the map is, I expected there to be much more loot and more interesting things to discover while exploring. I buy this game because the idea of surviving in a dinosaur-filled world like Jurassic Park sounded amazing. Unfortunately, the issues I encountered throughout the game kept taking me out of the experience. I really wanted to enjoy it, but in its current state, I just couldn't fully enjoy the experience.
I've only played for almost 2hrs (single player only) and after reading the reviews, all I got to say is NOT THAT BAD. I was pretty hyped for the release of the game since since it's been a while that I've played a game like this. So far my biggest complain is there is no autosave or a feature of saving the game anytime/anywhere. That should be a MUST HAVE! Also the dino's audio is too quiet, you can't really tell where they're coming from if you ever get to hear them. I think another feature that would boost the game would be a mini map or a way to tell the new players kinda of where to go in classic mode. Other than that for the time played, I like it. For $20 is fun and I hope they keep coming out with updates to make it better cause it has a lot of potential. I will update this review once I put more hours into it. Solid 3.5/5 as of 08/20/2026
Yes the game is not optimized well and it has low fps but i have played the demo since in launched (when you could shoot the raptors that were in the maze from the tower), i played when you updated it and i am playing now despite the problems the game has i have been waiting for such game for years and will continue to support the devs no matter what..Great game
STEAM DECK LCD - EARLY THOUGHTS Played over 4 hours so far. Everything on Low settings except for Textures and Shaders on Medium, and anti-ailiasing on TSR at Very Low. FPS cap at 30FPS. 720p. Playing single-player because no friends... Pros: - The world looks and feels great, really enjoying the look of the park and its inhabitants. - Music isn't anything to write home about, but does the job well for this game. - Dinosaurs look fantastic so far, love the sound effects (when they aren't too quiet)! - intrigued by the story and all the letters/notes on the island, want to find and learn more! - Great attention to detail within the park (love the floor tiles that look like scales!). The devs clearly have passion for this game. Cons: - Performance is a big problem in SOME areas. The beginning of the game showed promise, mostly staying at 30FPS only dipping to around 25FPS at times. Once you get further into the island the FPS can take a huge nose dive to 10-15FPS depending on the area (looking at you Main Street!). - There are major stutters in certain areas and sometimes when fighting raptors, getting me killed a couple times because I physically couldn't react. - After playing the game for over an hour, it starts to lag spike more and more, until eventually dipping the FPS so low that the game crashes. This has happened 3 times in the 4 hours I've played. I'm not sure if its to do with the code somewhere in the game, but it keeps happening. - Some animations are good, but some are really janky. "Stretch Armstong" are the words I would use for some of the dinos when they make quick turns, like they have very stretchy floppy necks. - There appears to be bright leaves pop up from the floor if you shoot the floor with your gun, I almost thought it was acid from the raptor! - Some sounds effects are far too quiet or are completely missing at times. I can hardly hear my footsteps when walking and running, and sometimes can't hear the raptors running towards me! Also, the suppressed tranq pistol does not sound suppressed at all, same gun shot sound effect as the standard pistol which is not suppressed. Turning these sounds up louder then the player being able to tweak them in the settings would be amazing. - Though the music is decent for this game, I noticed that one music track looped constantly at the fossil villas to the point that I had to turn the music off. Maybe giving the music a 5 minute break between loops or only it playing once would suffice. - As a Steam Deck player, some options for perhaps FSR or XESS upscalling would help with FPS performance, though many of the performance issues I think can be patched out with future updates. - Unless I missed this as an option, perhaps a quick heal button could be very helpful for those ambush encounters since some raptors can take up to seven bullets. Either this, or give the raptors another second before they can attack again to give the player time to fight or flight. Verdict: I really like this game so far, I'm hooked and want to keep playing, but the performance is impeding my playthrough of this wonderful game that the devs clearly put great effort into crafting. The huge lag spikes and FPS drops turn the game into a crawl, with eventually a game crash about an hour in, which seems like some kind of bug in the code (maybe something to do with memory or the graphics?). I know that these devs are talented, and I know that this game can definitely be improved upon with plenty of patches to fix the performance problems. I've played games more graphics intensive than this game on Steam Deck that runs at buttery smooth 30FPS or higher, so I trust that the devs can iron out these grievances! Since the cons with this game can be fixed with future updates, and I love what the devs have created in this game so far, I'm giving Clawed a positive review. I will continue to play the game the best my Steam Deck can allow at this point, and I hope to see more patches coming in soon to fix some of the performance problems. Thanks for reading! :) - Winter
