Chronoquartz

Clever knowledge-based time loop game. The way that so many puzzles are solved with knowledge means that the world opens up a lot with progress, even though nearly everything is reset with every loop. Not very long but it keeps your brain engaged, and the hint system is cleverly designed in steps. Recommended for those Outer Wilds-style itches.

Chronoquartz is a super fun puzzle game with an excellent central mechanic. In many ways, it feels like a blend of a more level based puzzle game and an open world “metroidbrainia”, especially in some of its more clever meta moments. My only big issue was that exploring the world for clues wasn’t as fun as the puzzles with either a clear goal or a single screen mystery due to the limit. However, these did not make up the majority of the game. I would definitely recommend picking this one up, especially if you’re a fan of the knowledge based genre of puzzle games!

A very smart, very satisfying mix of different genres. The puzzles are extremely well-designed and solving one usually gives a real sense of accomplishment, because it requires the players to figure out something new every time. There are also some meta-aspects to the game, because by far not everything is at it may seem initially! I was honestly surprised when the game was over, but in the best possible way!
