About

Chronicles Of Sagrea is an action-adventure game set in a medieval fantasy world in which you'll experience a thrilling journey through different locations across Sagrea as you discover the details of the story and confront numerous threats.

It has been a long time since the gods ceased to walk among mortals and Sagrea is in a tense situation due to the rivalry of its two main kingdoms.
Meanwhile, in the east the roads are no longer safe and merchants who go into the frontier never return. Rumors say that a dangerous group of looters could be behind these events. The King of Thodgar, focused on his war efforts against the Kingdom of Arthosh, ignores the requests of the locals to send reinforcements to investigate the matter. Therefore, a reward has been set for whoever is able to find them and defeat their leader. As an adventurer who likes a challenge, you have accepted the contract. Will there be something else behind these events?

Choose between three characters to start your adventure: Kholdir the barbarian, Zeira the Amazon or Sir Edric the knight, each with their own characteristics, specialized in particular types of weapons and having different attack combos.
Face your enemies, dodge, block and use devastating combos to finish them off. Each weapon has its own special attack and each character has his own set of combos that you can unlock and improve using ability points, obtained by increasing your experience level as you progress in your journey.
Enter fortresses, ancient ruins or catacombs and try to be cautious of any dangers you may encounter. Your only aid will be your own skills and the steel of your weapon.

Dmg of basic combos should be increased and unique combos should be decreased a bit. Doing long chained cobos is not only a waste of time but also deals less dmg than 1 single unique strike.
Great and tough action-adventure with some RPG elements. You can call it "souls-like" but in fact it is inspired by an older game called "Severance Blade of Darkness" that came out long before souls-games.
Old style hack'n'slash with modern graphics. The game is heavily inspired by Blade of Darkness but doesn't copied it. The combat is based on combos, directional hits and dodges (not clicks & rolls). Every map in the campaign has its own stile and atmosphere. The chosen level of difficulty affects the dynamic of fights and combat strategies a lot, in combination with 3 different playing characters it makes the game quite re-playable.
A pretty good hack and slash game made by just one person. Considering it, it's awesome. Especially the visuals and the music.
'Blade: The Edge of Darkness'. Now we are talking, right?. Oh, aren't you from Spain?!. That's my bad, "no problemo", I'll start again... 'Severance: Blade of Darkness' (or just 'Blade of Darkness'). Now we are talking, right?. THE GOOD ========= THE WHOLE GAME. Almost everything is great. Enough said. THE BAD ======= The story tell us about a world in decline and decadence, with the main two kingdoms wasting the last remaining resources on a fruitless great war. However... this decline, this decadence has not been well expressed and translated into the game. Graphically and aesthetically seems so incredible, every asset seems so well done and put into the scene, every place seems so beautiful that seems like mantained by workers and gardeners... and then you ask to yourself: "Where is the decadence here?. Where is the decline?. I cannot see it, what I see is a world at its best, at its peak and splendor!". THE UGLY ======== -There's part of the OST that would fit wonderfully in 'Morrowind', but for this game... part of the songs are too melodic; for a game like this I consider they had to be more primitive, more "Howard-like". I cannot resist the temptation to put my favourite song from 'Blade: The Edge of Darkness' in order to illustrate what I'm saying: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3z-TGJaWYQ&t=24720s -Bigger spiders tend to get stuck on tight passages while chasing you. -Golems have a "slash attack" animation that makes them to "slide forward" when they perform this kind of attack. -The "running" animations of the final two Bosses seems like unfinished. No problem with the "walking" ones, nor any others from them. THE BOTTOM LINE =============== Easy: buy or die (by steel, of course). :P
