Steam hear me out PLEASE add a port for chocolatier 2 and 1, theres only the 3rd sequel but i REALLY want to play the other ones and i cant even play them because it doesnt work properly and keeps crashing! Please steam i NEED the other two versions, i'd play hundreds of dollars to play them...
Here are some things you should know about this game on modern hardware before you decide to buy: 1) playing in fullscreen is going to cause a bunch of issues that you probably won't be able to fix, so you'll want to go with windowed. 2) the windowed screen cannot be resized under any circumstances. It's 800x600 and NOTHING will change that. Not even runtime editors can solve this. Essentially you ought to play in windowed mode and deal with the tiny resolution. The only real remedy to this is to lower your system resolution so that the game window is comparatively larger on your screen. I would say that if you aren't willing to do that in order to play this game, then do not buy it.
A game from my childhood! Currently playing it for memories. Even after years, it's just as fun as I remembered! I wish there were more games like this.
I have so much nostalgia for this game, so I'm willing to put up with a lot to play this game again (plus I sunk $10 into it already). I love this game itself so much and making chocolate. However, I don't like how when I try to start it, 2/3 times it crashes, and sometimes it will crash mid game. So unless you loved this game in your childhood like I did, it's not worth it.
It's quite nice to be able to reminisce about old games.
its a good game to relax to if you like working with different machines i have played this game for 324 hours so far and now i am going to play it again now
This game crashes more than mustang drivers
I love the chocolatier franchise but it doesn't work very well on newer versions of windows. I use windows 11 and it crashed 3 times and froze my computer so hard I couldn't open task manager. I'd love to be able to play this game for hours but it's old enough that it's just not an option. maybe it'll work for older windows but it doesn't work for newer versions
It crashed constantly until I set it to small window mode and then it worked fine. And I was still willing to play it before I figured that out so that should tell you how fun it is
