The game concept is really nice, and I have a strong feeling that game can be fun. However, the UI/UX is a nightmare. After a few moments it's impossible to understand what is what on the screen, it's a laser hell-fest. => Good game ruined by graphical design choices.
A Tetris-like game that's different enough that it's not just a Tetris clone. I found the music to be fine and the visuals to be mostly fine. The gameplay was too fast-paced and stressful for my preference. I would have rather this was a more relaxing game to chill out with. But if you think of Tetris, that's not a very relaxing game, so if it's going for a Tetris vibe, this is actually more relaxing than Tetris because you don't get the pieces piling up and then overwhelming you. At least, I didn't. I always ran out of time before anything like that could happen. I think that the requirements for unlocking the next level (at least in some of the sections) are way too high. Even when I was trying my best, I wasn't able to unlock 60% of the grid, so having that as the requirement to unlock the next level was ... annoying. I think all the levels should have just been unlocked from the start so that you could play at whatever intensity you want whenever you want. I'm giving this one a soft 'would recommend' because I think that if you're looking for something kind of like Tetris but different, this looks like a pretty polished game to scratch that itch.
Overall a decently entertaining music based tetris like game. I'm not very good at it and it can be super challenging to get high coverage but still fun! Plus it includes a song from Magic Sword! Biggest con is the lack of audio options in a game that's so highly focused on audio.
wonderful music

Initially it looks like a visually-upgraded version of Chime, and while it certainly looks lovely, there are a few gameplay mechanics that just don't mesh in the same way as the original. 1) In Chime, the music would change as your coverage increased. In Chime Sharp, however, the effect is minimal. This was the thing that made Chime so satisfying, so it is a great shame. 2) At some point in the game (80% coverage, IIRC), another time limit of 3 passes of the beat-line is introduced to finish the level. This is incredibly frustrating, as there is no adequate signal that this has been started, and the level can end without warning (at least the standard time limit has a countdown). Visual accessibility is an issue in this game. 3) The other game modes aren't as satisfying (that word again) as the original, which was about flow, while this game is much too frantic. I would have preferred a Chime 2 and, frankly, this isn't it.
A good game to get you thinking and pass the time. The music's on point for it. :) EDIT: And I stand by that, still. :P
