Prosty koncept, w skondensowanej formie. Jesteśmy telekinetyczną snajperką, możmy kierować kulą. I musimy zdjąć wszystkic przeciwników na planszy jednym pociskiem. To bardziej puzzler niż cokolwiek innego, trzeba trochę kombinować, zwłaszcza w późniejszych planszach. Pasuje do treści.
It's a good goopy tippy action-puzzle. Realized to it's full potential, the gimmick of bullet bending never reaches the point of losing it's novelty and the new ellements the game introduces in later levels give u a great challange. Expect to stuck on some levels. But when u find that solution to the problem, or pull last second reaction shot - it feels great! The game is also very stylish, with amazing sound design and great use of visual effects - it delivers a psychosexual violent nightmare expirience. It feels fully realized, from the bass guitar sample going off when you move your character to the different little details in enemies' idle animations. But, i would like to see the game leaning more into it's psychological and unnerving aspect. By the end of the game, it's all starting to feel a little bit trivial - you focus more on the abstraction of the puzzle solution than on the atmosphere. But, the story mode is opnly 3~4 hours long and it's not that big of a deal. Just expected to be more evil and ♥♥♥♥♥♥-up after a
masturbation bonus level.
So the game is very engaging and despite the short story mode, there's secret challanges on almost all of the levels and a endless game mode, and potential for speedrun and score attack is there. So if you wanna play a good, unique arcade shooter - "Children of the Sun" delivers.

Children of the Sun is a fairly typical cult revenge story, but with a very engaging gameplay loop that gives enough freedom to tackle every scenario from different angles, and a certain degree of decision making and puzzle-like approach to shooting, keeping each level engaging and fun once you get into the loop. The biggest downside of this game is it being only a few hours in lenght and having a custom map creator outside of the recently added horde mode, because for the most part this is a very solid and polished take on the sniper shooter genre. But overall, I would gladyl reconmend this game and hope I can see more projects from this developer down the future.
The aesthetic of the game is "mouah" chef's kiss 10/10 I do have to say it's too short :( But very fun, and remember to stay determined
Children of the Sun was an interesting experience. It is in essence a tight mix of the Sniper Assassin mode from Hitman blended with a sort of neon grindhouse vibe and a splash of Killer7's hyperlinear movement in a single line. The story is told in almost no words through some very stylish slideshow cutscenes with some animations here and there. It wasn't particularly complicated, but I enjoyed it for what it offered plot-wise. You play a young woman who's going after the cult that destroyed her family by way of firing a single sniper bullet and then, upon hitting her target, psychically ricocheting that one bullet into the next target and so on and so forth. It sounds easy, but it is anything but. Besides the obvious challenge of having only, literally, one shot per level attempt, and the sheer amount of physical obstacles that litter the contemporary urban and countryside locales, there is the matter of enemies in body armor and some even having psychic shields needing to be handled using the proper techniques. There is no map or radar, which fits the oppressive atmosphere, but you can tag enemies permanently by either killing them in a failed attempt or just hitting the right bumper. A very welcome feature. In my opinion, the 3-hour or so campaign is a perfect length for a game like this, but it bears mentioning that I thought the difficulty absolutely erupted by the fourth-to-final level, and the final level is a three step gauntlet that demands dozens of scouting runs before you can manage one perfect shot. (Again, literally. You only have one bullet.) It was trying my patience a bit at the end, especially with abundance of the shielded enemies, but once I landed the last shot I was punching the air. There is an unlockable mode once you beat the campaign called Nightmare Paralysis. I assumed it was a higher difficulty where you couldn't move, but I was surprised to see it was actually a new gameplay mode altogether in a new location. I won't spoil what it is, but I messed around with it for a few minutes before I realized I was basically content with having finished the campaign so I left it at that. Don't expect a whole new game, though. In conclusion, if the idea of repeatedly solving a sniper puzzle through trial and error sounds satisfying, rather than frustrating, this is absolutely worth a shot. (Just one though... you only have one bullet...)
I highly recommend Children of the Sun. A game that is the psychedelic love-child of Where's Waldo and I Saw The Devil. Each level sets up a puzzle in which you must find the bright golden cult members and a path connecting them in order to kill them all with a single bullet, re-aiming after each kill. Different types of protection on the cultists further complicate affairs, forcing you to take odd angles and unexpected action orders. It's very tightly designed. Most levels have a second hidden objective to earn achievements as well as a scoreboard to compare against other players, meaning that while it's not overlong there's actually a lot of optional replayability. You get a good value for money without it becoming a slog. It's a very moody game, with odd music and a scratchy visual style. The backstory is fed to you throughout the game as The Girl flashes back through the events and wrongs inflicted upon her. The past is fragmented as you see it though the eyes of someone deeply damaged by it. The details may elude you, but what do you care? You're just the bullet.
