Chicks and Tricks VR

A fun game

While the concept of this game is fun, the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. The VR player requires a VERY large play area. I've never run into problems with my 12'x10' play area before, but this game makes the VR player constantly want an extra foot or two and I banged my hands on the furniture a few times as the frantic nature of this game made me not notice my guardian system. I'm using the Oculus Rift and the cable unpluged a few times when I overextended my reach. In most games you can plug it back in and keep going, (although in most games it's not even thing that happens very often at all...) In this game you have to restart the game. It can't recover the VR connection. Also the net the farmer is using sometimes goes through the chickens without moving them. The net issue is rare, but quite frustrating. The PC player gets a square screen with black bars on the sides and the graphics don't seem very well optimised. The PC's keybindings are also a little weird as it seems to have some inertia and keeps going past where you let go. Also it sometimes gets stuck on the edge of objects.

lazy. you could have atleast had a few more gamemodes or variations. this game has less than 5 minutes of content. one of the areas for capturing the chickens wasnt even accessible. the game is horribly imbalanced only the fox can win.

This game demonstrates effectiveness in simplicity. The controls are easy to pick up for anyone being introduced to VR or video games in general. It's a huge improvement from its Itch.io build with the graphics looking fine tuned and the chickens having enough brains to run from Tricks and return to the play area when the farmer misses his throws. In addition, we can now play online via remote play together, eliminating the struggle to drag your friend into the room. This game is everything you want in a Desktop vs VR game at a great price.

This game is some good fun, its not often u find games with local coop so its great to play with a partner or your child. I recommend u have a good play area so you dont bump in to things. I have a pretty small playarea so we had to play a bit carefully. Its not a game you will play for hours at a time but play for shorter sessions and i dont mind that.

Fun, unique party game. Requires about 2x2 meters of play space, but you can get by with 1.5 x 1.5 as "chicks" run chaotically and don't generally get out of reach. My only problem is that with smaller space it's difficult to reach all corners of map as farmer, some way to extend player's reach would be nice (like retractable net or scaling the world in vr ?)
