About
Welcome, dad bod enthusiasts; It's time for the most anticipated event of your local neighborhood! STUDS is a 3D multiplayer party game where up to 4 players compete in a series of 'dadly' events to be crowned the Ultimate Dad. Test your Dad-like Reflexes as you race baby strollers down the street, or be the first to gather all the items on the hardware store shopping list.
REMOTE PLAY TOGETHER
Invite up to 3 friends to play online with Steam's Remote Play Together feature.
LOCAL MULTIPLAYER
Connect up to 4 controllers to play split-screen multiplayer, or play against AI.
ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
Host and join online lobbies with other dads on PC.
Choose between four unique game modes:
BABY STROLLER RACE
Be the first dad to cross the finish line with their stroller as you race through your neighborhood. Nimbly avoid obstacles while sabotaging other players, either by throwing your stroller or by using player-activated obstacles to help close the gap between dads on the track.
THE DAD DEPOT
Gather the required items and bring them to the register before the other dads steal them. The store's aisles are randomized and explosive propane tanks are scattered around, so even experienced dads will have to put their dad reflexes to the test.
PENNY PINCHER
It's dads versus kids in a battle for control of the house's appliances. Dads attempt to catch the mischievous kids and put them in timeout while turning off appliances to reduce the total cost of the bill. As kids, escape the dads in the house while you turn on appliances and cause the monthly utility bill to skyrocket.
THE DODGEFATHER
Dads must dodge obstacles and knock out other dads in a dodgeball showdown.
Super Totally Ultimate Dad Showdown was created by a small team of students as their senior year capstone project.

my dad left me
Super Totally Ultimate Dad Showdown is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is a selection of low poly minigames with a comedy theme about being a dad and the lulzy challenges associated with parenting. It might have gone down better if it had online multiplayer, but it's basically dead as result of lacking that. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, and you think you could talk someone into playing this with you, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.

Funny amazing game with friends. But soon can get bored soon once you played all the games which is only 4. The racing one is the best in my opinion.
