Changeling

I played the demo way in the past but, after I bought the game, the story is a lot more interesting than I thought when first reading it. It is a dark and sometimes heavy game due to certain topics (which change a lot depending on the route and the choices you make), yet it's still enjoyable and honestly quite refreshing compared to most other story games. Changeling doesn't follow any tropes or cliches that I know of, which makes everything feel new (Which it is :P). Nothing feels overdone here to me. I'm a sucker for an in-depth story and I love anything folklore, supernatural, or myth related. Every single one of the characters have surprised me, my first impressions were blown away since their stories and endings weren't what I was expecting based on what I first thought of them. For those that are into things like this, I feel like you're in for an awesome game. I definitely would recommend this, I'm sure it'll surprise you. ^^

OMG OMG For once- heroine has a BRAIN! Get it? She actually has a brain and she knows how to use it! She is in one word : fantastic MC I love her sarcasm, her emphaty, her character, not to much not to little of everything. Perfectly balanced with spice of her own unique personality. Haaaaaa... And oh mama, personally for me, this surprise when starting the game and there she is... redhead with green eyes. I nearly cried from happiness. Writing is so good that even slightly cliche things like you know, this all amnesia thing on the beggining, so amazingly wrapped together I let it go immidietly. I love writers who never forgot about those tiny detailes, which always forgotten in plenty VN's are giving me annoying itch in the brain. Conciderate plenty of possibilities and giving me an actuall reason why MC decided for that one particular or other and not only because writer says so, to push situation in the way they want. All MC actions they have sense. They all suitble to the story and her character. Damn I m charmed. And wait... I forgot it actually has romance in it. THAT GOOD :) I m far from finishing all of 44 endings but I have this feeling it wan't be my first night in fron of my screen So far 10/10 and I can't even say much about plots and all stories Style is like in AMNESIA- same story line but different chocies are taking you to different plots and of course endings.

I've only played through two endings so far and I love it. To summarize, I'm new to visual novels but I can be picky when it comes to them. I'm easily swayed by the initial look and vibes of VNs regardless of what the story is about. This one is a little older and you can probably tell what inspired it's story. By no means is that bad, If anything it made me nostalgic. I think this story surpasses it's teen YA romance impressions and goes into interesting lore and situations with it's characters and this one is a pretty extensive VN to start with. The main characters internal conflict is compelling. I like knowing the character is going through something and how it ties into the romanceable characters. The love interests have their own problems as well, and apparently (according to other reviews) getting the "good ending" where you end up with the guy you like isn't easy. So if you're expecting a self explanatory dating sim, keep that in mind. I have only played Ewan's route so far and didn't end up with him but the way the story played out was believable to me. Sometimes you can't just jump into a relationship after a harrowing ordeal, no matter how much you like each other. So yeah, i'll try again, and maybe look up some guides if i get desperate, but I liked the adventure. The second ending I got was [spoiler]♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dying[/spoiler], which I didn't expect. But it explains the amount of potential endings you can get. So yeah be reckless, it's fun.

11/10. Liked it a lot. Ewan's root is the BEST, you cannot change my mind. P.S. Twins cannon be different genders, so which one of them has a dirty little secret? :D

An amazing example of world & character building. Each character exists as their own person. They live as their own person outside of the relationship with the MC. I love all of the fantasy creatures that pop up (most are European fairytale related). I think the art is unique & pretty

took me a while to get used to the animation style, but after a while i started to like it that way. finished all good endings except corvin, william's route was the best imo, marc and elliot's were great as well

thank god for the ending guides! very cool game, the story gets more interesting with each route <3 also do not play Elliots' first like i did cause ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i really hated Spencer for most of my playthrough after that LOL

The Storywriting is really amazing and routes and characters are very thoughtful created. I was first not sure to buy it because the art level seemed behind but i came to love the art style especially with regard that this is a small Studio. What they did there is really great and for a first game this really is something all who love VN should check out. A big praise to the mythological background. I'm a writer with focus on mythological backgrounds myself and this is a compelling and well researched take on Fae and Changeling mythology.
