A fun 16-bit style platformer where you play a caveman fighting against bandits and dinosaurs. It is perfect for carefree gaming and a must for kids as well as for those who want to experience that 1990s nostalgia!

While I don't think this is their best game, it is a good game. :)
Foncez!
Nice graphics, music, challenge and gameplay. If you like old school platform games you should like this one.
Uniformly awesome action platformer from Seep! 50 short but sweet levels of classic retro gameplay that can be completed in under two hours. Could not get this one to work on Steam Deck, but worth your time regardless.
Caveman Ransom, developed and published by SEEP, is a compact retro-style platformer that leans heavily into classic design sensibilities, delivering a straightforward and fast-paced experience built around simple mechanics and short bursts of gameplay. Set in a prehistoric world filled with exaggerated dangers and cartoonish enemies, the game follows Ooga, a caveman on a mission to rescue his kidnapped partner. The premise is intentionally minimal, serving more as a playful excuse for action rather than a narrative centerpiece, and the game never attempts to expand beyond this lighthearted setup. The gameplay is rooted in traditional 2D platforming, where players navigate a series of small levels filled with hazards such as spikes, enemies, and environmental obstacles. Movement is responsive and easy to understand, allowing players to jump, attack, and traverse each stage with minimal learning curve. The controls feel tight, which is essential for a game that relies on precision and timing, especially as later levels introduce denser obstacle layouts. The simplicity of the mechanics ensures that players can focus entirely on execution, making it accessible while still offering moments of challenge. Each level is designed to be completed quickly, often lasting less than a minute, which gives the game a strong arcade-like rhythm. This structure encourages repetition, as players can immediately retry after failure and refine their approach. The progression is divided into multiple stages across different environments, with occasional boss encounters that require players to recognize patterns and adjust their tactics. While these bosses add variety, they are generally forgiving and do not significantly increase the overall difficulty. The game includes a basic progression system where players collect coins and use them to purchase upgrades. These enhancements can improve survivability or combat effectiveness, providing a sense of advancement as players move through the game. However, the upgrades remain relatively modest in their impact, and they do not fundamentally change how the game is played. The core experience remains consistent from beginning to end, with little deviation from the established formula. Visually, Caveman Ransom embraces a vibrant pixel art style inspired by 16-bit-era platformers. The environments are colorful and varied enough to maintain visual interest, featuring prehistoric landscapes such as jungles and caves populated by stylized enemies. The design prioritizes clarity, ensuring that hazards and interactive elements are easy to identify during gameplay. While the art style does not break new ground, it effectively captures the nostalgic tone the game aims for. The audio design complements this presentation with energetic, retro-inspired music and simple sound effects. The soundtrack fits the pace of the game, reinforcing its light and playful atmosphere, though it does not stand out as particularly memorable. Like the visuals, the audio serves its purpose well without becoming a defining feature. The pacing of the game is both a strength and a limitation. The short levels and quick retries keep the experience engaging and prevent frustration from lingering, making it ideal for short play sessions. However, the lack of significant variation in mechanics or structure can lead to repetition over time. While new enemies and obstacles are introduced, they tend to build on existing ideas rather than introduce entirely new gameplay elements, which can make later stages feel familiar. In terms of overall content, the game offers a relatively brief experience. It can be completed in a short amount of time, and once finished, there is little incentive to return beyond personal challenge or replaying levels for better performance. This limited scope reinforces its identity as a quick, self-contained adventure rather than a long-term experience. Ultimately, Caveman Ransom is a simple and enjoyable platformer that succeeds in delivering a polished, retro-inspired experience without overcomplicating its design. It offers responsive controls, a steady gameplay loop, and a charming presentation that make it easy to pick up and play. While its lack of depth and variety prevents it from standing out in a crowded genre, it provides a satisfying and accessible experience for players looking for a short, nostalgic platforming journey. Rating: 6/10
Another SEEP game I wanted to like but turning out mediocre. 50 bland levels, with a boss every 10, just different skins over the same character and even the same pattern: run back and forth with some random jump and launching of a weapon. The ability to acquire the bosses' weapons isn't used in any interesting way, and the existence of a shop even here betrays a strange attraction to a mobile-like game design. The platforming isn't even that great; of note is the way the character instantly drops from a ladder the moment a direction other than Up or Down is pressed even slightly, very annoying. These developers have shown, over the years, that they can create short but tight experiences, which makes the overall unpolished impression this game leaves even worse. Given how the number of their releases has increased over the years, is this an effect of privileging quantity over quality?
Good super Mario clone, simple to play but difficult at the right point. 50 levels as well as various weapons to unlock. Highly recommended.
Bem divertido aventura no estilo clássico.
купил, установил/прошел , получил достижения и удовольствие.
