About
Start with a pickaxe in one hand and nothing in the other. Excavate the bedrock, reap the rewards of Mother Earth, and trade the mined valuables for new gadgets, travels, funky wild fashion, and more. Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder is a 1-4-player VR action-adventure game set in wildland valleys, where you discover old mines, nautical caves, and ruins of ancient civilizations inspired by Western, Dieselpunk and Lovecraftian themes. Explore the "pristine" lands, loot its riches, and unravel the mystery linked to a great explorer. As you go, it's best to keep a six-shooter nearby just in case.
Get thrown right away into the deep end by being stuck in the mines as your drill machine broke. With a single pickaxe, work your way to the surface camp where your journey can begin in earnest. Your goal is simply to mine and carry loot back to the surface the best you can for your mission assigners. With the surplus reward that you get, you can buy new things like upgrading your dependable pickaxe with a shinier look! (And faster digging rate.) Or buy dynamites that work on pretty much anything that needs to be worked on. Maybe you fancy a shovel that works for both digging and moving through the caves like a spider-miner. Whatever your preferred loadout, you will be ready to go deeper into the ever-shifting caves than any miner before or after you! (At least that's what Merchant Trading Company says when selling their gear to any miner, which they must be 100% right about, right?... Right.)
The valleys have their mysteries and they hide them well. Step by step the player follows the same path where a great explorer has once wandered. Who is this hardy explorer? Why did he come to these valleys? And where is he now? The answers to these and more lie in the depths of the valleys. The story has multiple endings, each revealing a different side of it. Find the scattered comic pages to a tale of greed, eldritch power, and secrets beyond space and time. Who the wanderer is and why he did what he did in the valleys become clear in the end, but is it really the end?
Gather a party of up to 4 players. Your role in the mining team is totally up to you! As long as at least somebody is carrying their weight in gold back to the surface, you all get paid in official Merchant Dollars equally. Co-op crossplay supports public matchmaking and private groups, and you are very free to show your wildlands drip by combining things from a generous selection of clothes, hats and faces once you've bought them first.
So, take a pickaxe (and your friends) with you and head to the wildlands for the riches it holds, find out the secrets it contains, and dig deeper into the valleys than any adventurer before or after you!
Discoveries, dangers, and digging.
Mine your way with the dependable pickaxe, versatile dynamites, hi-tech hammer, and more!
Procedurally generated partially destructible cave and mine networks.
Grab the six-shooter, chain-shovel, and the gold-pan-turned-to-a-shield if things get rough. TNT works fine too, just mind your team members if you aren't lone-wolfing! Gadgets evolve with upgrades.
1-4 player crossplay co-op of private groups or public matchmaking, also between VR and non-VR.
Collectable comic book Clayton - The Greed reveals the history of the Valley throughout the player’s journey.
Multiple discoverable endings of the story, each revealing a different angle to it.
Player avatar customization with dozens of things from clothes to faces to hats. Wildlands fashion is a wildly funky fashion that has something for every taste.

oh man this game is fun! especially with friends i recommend it the first one was also amazing to haha the secrete endings and what not they recently updated it to exit the shaft to im pretty sure i do recommend this
This is a great simulator about what the coal miners would hallucinate about after huffing fumes hours on end. Left my wife for a talking chest. We're expecting 2 baby boxes now.
Very different to the first game but just as good. I think I actually enjoyed this game more than the first one because it gives you more of a feel of actual mining and exploring rather than the simple game loop of the first game. I do miss the idea of upgrading the town and was a bit disappointed at the amount of shooting in the game given the glut of stand-in-one-spot-and-shoot VR games there are. The music is absolutely excellent and a high point of the game. No crashes or bad glitches, although transitioning levels in the mine sometimes does unexpected things. Ran fine on a older computer with a 2080ti. I hope there is a 3rd game to follow this up!
Someone will really enjoy this. Not for me.
Awsome game, had a lot of fun making roleplay content out of it <3
its good
played for a bit its fun so far it has a lot of potential with some more features things to do etc and it does need some bug fixes but other than that its a lo of fun,
So let me start this by saying that I DO have complaints about this game.... but I'm not going to include any of them because I have a suspicion that a fair few of the problems I have are not due to the game but due to my headset. As at the moment it is not properly checking the height. Which means that sometimes hitting stuff is difficult because of where my headset is tracking me. Or the fact that when I sit down in the game the floor is chest height. Like... it's a thing. But at the moment I DO NOT think that these are problems on the games end. In case it is though, I do recommend playing this game as soon as you get it to make sure you don't have similar issues. So putting all that aside, this is a pretty good game. If you have ever played a farming sim or Minecraft and you are literal mole spending all your time in the mines. Or if you enjoy the general game play of games like where you are spelunking and gathering materials. You'll enjoy this game. You have an area on the top end of the mines where you can sell goods and upgrade an area. Get new tools. Etc. Then you ride the elevator down to a new cave system and gather more materials to sell. While down there you might encounter enemies that you can take out with a gun. Some things will attack you melee, some are long distance, and some explode. I haven't yet encountered any big enemies. For the most part the only enemies that have managed to actually hurt me are the ones that jump scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of me when I break a barrel and it happens to contain an enemy. The fighting doesn't feel bad either to me. Admittedly I don't play many VR shooters, but I've had no issue shooting enemies or shooting barrels from a distance to avoid said enemies that have been starving in a barrel for who knows how long and therefore want to immediately eat my face upon their release. The tool belt feels good and doesn't feel finicky. Materials you pickup and place over your shoulder to put it away. Though my absolutely favorite feature of this game is the lack of needing to sort your pack. You can't look at the materieals that you gather in your backpack or anything. Instead every material you gather is stored and once your backpack is full it will automatically start dropping the least valuable things. So you don't have to worry about figuring out what is and is not worth keeping. Which is just damn lovely unless you are the kind of person that enjoys that sorting aspect. The most basic comparison I can make is that if you like those mobile games where all you do is dig, sell resources, upgrade, then dig some more, sell more resources, buy more upgrades, repeat repeat repeat. This game is like that.... but better and a bit more in depth. And I will say that even with the combat nothing feels super high stakes. The game is pretty cozy and relaxing to play. Nothing feels high stakes. The mines you go down into are randomly generated which also makes it more fun because no 2 cave systems seem to be alike (at least not that I've seen in my hour of play time). There was even one level where at the end there was a record player and I just kinda sat down and enjoyed the music it played for a bit. It was lovely. Kinda made me wish I had an in game snack to munch on and just relax for a bit. My only real complaint is how dark some areas are, but that's also kinda part of the game play. There will be torches that you can light to light up a room. It just is a bit annoying for me personally. Nothing really wrong with it. Oh and any time I break a rock and it explodes and resources go into the water.... it can be SO hard to see things in the water. But overall the game is a good and fairly polished experience (again disregarding any problems I had playing as being a product of my hardware) So if ANY of what I just explained sounds appealing to you, pick up the game. If you are unsure.... I'd say still pick up the game, but just play it about an hour or so and see if you like it. If you don't return it because if you don't like it in the first hour you probably won't like the game at all. One of my favorite chill VR games.
