Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You are a navigator, a protector of Catharage station. Countless enemies threaten its survival. You must venture out into the unknown, gather strength, and vanquish our foes before they can destroy us. The city stands eternal.

In Catharage, you pilot a single capital ship through space. Carefully maneuver, assign weapons to automatically fire on targets and watch them explode. You'll find randomly generated loot that you can equip or scrap for currency. You will complete missions for Catharage station, earning valuable credits. Should you die, all is lost - but return home in time, and your reward is saved. Use what you recover to upgrade and unlock ships, hire fleet members or pay for one-time bonuses, to face tougher enemies and go further.
Unlock more than 30 different ships to fly, each with their own attributes. Some may be large and slow, but highly armored. Others are nimble and frail, yet hit beyond their size. Discover three weapon types with several special perks that change their behaviour. Find modules that grant attributes or active abilities, such as microwarp drives, cloaking devices, or EMP blasts. Items may come with special traits, such as scaling damage or set bonuses. Loot rolls in rarities ranging from scrap-worthy to run-changing, and every kill may change your chances.
While you become stronger over time through investment in global attribute bonuses, variance exists on a smaller scale as well. Each run, you can find special upgrades that may change its course: Pick up an engineering upgrade before you start and make your weak corvette into a strong brawler. Find a forge to turn a lumbering battleship into a nimble kiter. Every encounter is different. Maybe you'll chance upon a battle in progress and scavenge the remains - or jump straight into a gas cloud that strips your armor, leaving you vulnerable to enemies you once thought beneath you.
Catharage is a slow-paced but punctuated game. Since you decide where to fly and who to fight, sessions can be as calm or hectic as your taste demands. While space is large and atmospheric, fights can quickly become overwhelming - make sure you're adequately prepared. The game is challenging, but knowledge reigns supreme: Learning about enemies, systems and strategy is key to mastering the encounters and obstacles set before you.
Fly alone or together with up to 4 other captains. Specialize your ships to fill different roles, use support items to buff and heal your allies, or split up to clear sectors faster.
Catharage is a part-time solo development project. A substantial demo is available, make sure you try it to see if the game is for you!

What you have here is a rogue-like/extraction thingie in space. Totally unlike Everspace. Visualize a fighting system more in line with what Eve Online does. Somewhat simpler, but still with decent depth. Range matters, tracking Speed matters and so on. The game play is not as frantic as other rogue-likes. There is no race against the clock. Instead you will often take a minute, evaluate the enemies and decide whether you can handle them with the current state your ship's systems are in. Which might very well cause you to warp to another area or extract back home to base. Flying takes getting used to initially and will most likely be frustrating the first 1 or 2 hours. It got a lot better for me and I would say it is not an issue anymore. For a rogue-like the runs seem to last ages. 3 of the 5 hours of playtime for me so far has been a single run that ended with an extraction. The item pool is varied. Plenty stats, randomized, item sets and so on. Graphics are simple but stylized. It is not ugly, just rudimentary. For me a good game does not need fancy graphics. The soundtrack was vaguely reminding me of Homeworld at certain times, which is a good thing. There does not seem to be much of a story, but the core game is a lot of fun. If this sounds like a good mix, try it. The controls are the biggest barrier to entry i would say. By now i pushed through the unfamiliar control scheme and the game has somewhat exceeded my expectations.

Amazing videogame
It's a bit like a naval simmy game, except it's space ships. Perfect.
Catharage developed by Björn Michalski and published by Games Foundation GmbH is a compact yet thoughtfully constructed space tactics roguelite that merges strategic ship management with procedural exploration. Framed around repeated expeditions into dangerous sectors of space, the game places players in command of a vessel operating out of a central station, venturing outward to scavenge resources, engage hostile forces, and return safely before overwhelming threats bring a run to an abrupt end. The design emphasizes risk assessment and adaptability, ensuring that each journey into the void feels tense and unpredictable. The core gameplay loop revolves around navigating procedurally generated star systems, choosing which sectors to explore, and determining when to push forward versus when to retreat. Encounters vary between hostile skirmishes, salvage opportunities, environmental hazards, and unexpected events that can either benefit or hinder progress. This structure ensures that no two runs unfold identically. Decision-making is constant: whether to engage an enemy fleet for potential rewards or bypass confrontation to conserve hull integrity; whether to investigate a derelict structure that might contain rare modules or trigger a trap. The pacing encourages measured advancement rather than reckless aggression. Combat is tactical and deliberate rather than chaotic. Positioning, weapon timing, and module synergy play crucial roles in survival. Ships can be outfitted with various systems such as enhanced weaponry, defensive shields, electronic countermeasures, and specialized utilities that alter combat flow. The ability to combine different modules creates meaningful strategic variety. A heavily armored configuration may allow sustained engagements, while lighter builds enable evasive maneuvers and hit-and-run tactics. Understanding enemy patterns and adapting loadouts accordingly becomes essential as difficulty escalates across deeper sectors. Progression systems are layered yet streamlined. Over successive runs, players unlock additional ships, each offering distinct attributes and playstyles. Some emphasize durability, others prioritize speed or unique tactical capabilities. These variations meaningfully affect how encounters unfold, encouraging experimentation. Resource management between runs allows incremental upgrades that improve survivability and offensive potential. Unlike sprawling strategy titles with overwhelming customization trees, this system remains focused, allowing players to grasp synergies without becoming bogged down in complexity. Atmosphere plays a subtle but important role in shaping the experience. The visual presentation leans into moody space environments, with distant stars, drifting debris fields, and flashes of weapons fire punctuating otherwise quiet expanses. The contrast between serene exploration and sudden hostile engagement reinforces tension. Sound design complements this dynamic, alternating between ambient hums during travel and sharper audio cues during combat. The minimalist aesthetic supports clarity in tactical encounters while maintaining an immersive sense of isolation. While the game’s scale is modest, its structure lends itself to replayability. Each expedition carries the possibility of unexpected outcomes, and incremental unlocks provide incentive to attempt deeper incursions. Leaderboards and achievements add competitive layers for players interested in optimizing routes or maximizing efficiency. The roguelite framework ensures that even failed runs contribute to broader progression, reducing frustration while preserving stakes. There are areas where further expansion could enhance depth, such as increasing enemy diversity or introducing more narrative framing between expeditions. The story remains largely implied rather than explicitly developed, serving as context rather than a focal point. However, this restrained narrative approach allows the mechanical core to remain front and center. The emphasis remains on strategic choice and emergent gameplay rather than scripted storytelling. Ultimately, the game stands as a focused and atmospheric entry within the space tactics roguelite genre. It balances accessibility with meaningful strategic layers, rewarding careful planning and adaptability without overwhelming the player. For those who appreciate calculated decision-making, procedural exploration, and the tension of extracting safely after a risky venture into hostile territory, it delivers a concise yet engaging journey through the uncertainty of deep space.
