I enjoyed it, I've played through it twice now, and I've never heard of the TV show. Pros: - The detective angle is unusual and fairly satisfying. Phone calls, lab tests, autopsy results and interrogation give the experience a different feel from the run-of-the-mill HOG. - Unique and original puzzles; I've played a lot of these games and there were several here I'd never come across before. - Good notes system detailing all the clues you've discovered and their significance. - Nice hidden object scenes - Forgiving hints system Cons: - The puzzles can be fiendishly difficult, though there is no penalty for skipping. - Requires quite a bit of suspension of disbelief. You're the police; you'd have thought you'd have a screwdriver handy, or be able to get hold of a ladder without having to build one! - No achievements, collectables etc. - A couple of silly occasions where unique items that unlocked things were found at completely different locations. - Lacks the polish of games made by the likes of Artifex Mundi. You're likely to enjoy it if the detective theme appeals to you. It lacks finesse, but I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with the gameplay, and I appreciated the fresh puzzles.
I love the tv show so when I saw that they had a computer game I just had to get it!!! I love it 😍
This was a very different hidden object game. You have to solve a murder mystery at the same time. The hidden object scenes are fun and not that difficult but there are some really difficult puzzles. There are also some really easy ones. Luckily you can find walkthrough's online if you don't want to skip. There is quite a variety in puzzles so you will definitely find some fun ones. There was one I had to skip, cause I got sick of trying to work it out. I highly recommend this game, one of the better ones. It lacks talking, but the graphics were good. It took me nearly 5 hours to complete.
I love Castle and love hidden object games but this game is very mediocre. There isn't the spirit of the series, the characters don't feel like themselves, the dialogues are flat and boring, the music is standard and don't suit for the atmosphere of Castle, the quests are very stupid. I don't recommend it even for the fans.
Zerado. Nice Game.
A solid 4/10. look hidden object games already have a ludo narrative problem. Mixing them with tv show character just makes it so... jarring... like I have to search through this man's garbage to find... I donno a screw driver. I'm in the police force gosh darn it! Couldn't I just get one from somewhere else? I don't know... the story was being dragged by the nose, the puzzles were very hit and miss, mostly miss for me, and the hidden object was very poorly designed... I wouldn't play it unless you are trying to have a "bad game, fun date" experience.
Nice detective point and click game based on the TV series.
A decent enough murder mystery HOG. I ran into a couple of bugs where when I had to prepare the puzzle first before solving it (e.g. find a lightbulb, find playing cards etc) I had to leave the puzzle before being allowed to solve it. I've seen reviews mention the thing where you have run across the city to get items that you could easily have bought in a close by shop, and yeah. That was annoying.
Having to put a macbook CPU in a regular tower computer upset me to no end!
In the end, it's an ok game. I guess I should watch Castle too. One of these days.
Noioso
Sehr schönes Speil, was an die Tv- Serie anknüpft. Aber leider sehr schnell durchgspielt.
