Spacca. Abbiamo bisogno di un sequel.
I have fond memories of playing this on the PS3 at my grandma's house whenever I was bored and had nothing else to do. I never made it very far, I think the Catfish was a hard stop for me. Now that I actually know what I'm doing, I'm having even more fun. This is Newgrounds distilled into its pure essence: dumb humour mixed with genuine awesomeness and a banger soundtrack. And you get to kiss princesses. Who doesn't want that? Beneath the surface, there is a legitimate technical aspect to gameplay. Sure, you can button mash all you want, but where you'll shine best in combat is by timing your combos just right. Every character and weapon has their ups and downs, so make sure to experiment with what suits you best. I will say one negative thing, and I'm not sure if this is a problem the game has or just my own failing: getting constantly knocked down by projectiles and unable to actually attack is very, very frustrating. I have not yet checked out the DLC, which I'll review separately. I'm still working through the main campaign and having a blast. If I find anything else, I'll update this review accordingly. In any case, if you love action-packed arcade games, or just silly Newgrounds humour, you'll love Castle Crashers.
